As a firefighter, that Tops Snake River Rescue ticks all of the boxes and none of the unnecessary ones that most rescue knives do… Blunt tip for prying sliding doors and windows out of their tracks… Check! A few serrations just in case… Check! The most important part: No oxygen wrench!!! We tie those things to our O2 bottles and hide extras all over our bags. No seat belt cutter!!!! A knife blade cuts seat belts fine. No glass breaker to ruin pants and knuckles!!!! Again… they’re in every bag we carry, and to be honest, when a vehicle rolls, the windows usually break. I don’t think I’ve ever needed a glass breaker in my 20 years of responding to car wrecks.

From all the footage this year, there are a lot of fixed blades I really like but not many folders. This may be the year of the fixed blades for me (not that I need more of either). The Razel Nax and the ERSK were both standouts for me. But Tops and Condor both had a lot of cool stuff.

The Terzuola TPF at the MKM favors, rather heavily, his CQB1 and CQB2 designs for Camillus back in the late 90s, early 00s. I've got on the CQB2, it's an awesome daily carry fixed. Compact, good steel, great blade design and just all around good. Glad to see that design is getting a re-look, especially with the longer handle, and I'm looking forward to possibly updating my CQB2 with that MKM

The Knax looks good and I want one BUT I have doubts about the slim handle stock plus drilled pivot holes, for it's intended use. I think there may be trouble ahead, even though 1075 will be tough. Keen to see the torture trial!

What's your thoughts on the spyderco stretch 2 in k390? I have it in a cart but the back lock is throwing me off. Looks like the knife can still be flicked out. Just not as fidgety as some others and I'd be mostly getting it for the steel anyways

Feel like the Benchmade Narrows is going to have the same problem as the Cold Steel Code 4 where it's almost too thin for the larger frame. Frankly it almost looks like a code 4 with an axis lock.
