My Diavel has 50,000 miles and doesn't have any of these issues. I think this one has been neglected. Also note. There is a small half moon shaped antenna under the seat/ above the rear tire. If you still have the red key you can put it there and turn on the bike. Much easier than the pin. Good luck on this one.
