Why is the price for this unit so blown up compared to all your other headunits? For $2.8k I would expect everything to work regardless of whether they're 'no longer needed' *cough volume and tune dials cough*. Far cheaper options on the market if wanting to add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but wanting to keep a factory setup and actually have EVERYTHING work including buttons and DVD player.

Hi, thank you for your question, I will attempt to answer it as best I can. The RRP of this unit is significantly higher than the rest of our units because of the functions it does retain. We aim to make our kits as easy to install as possible so this unit retains factory steering controls, microphone, DAB antenna, GPS antenna, AM/FM antenna, amplifier, heater controls etc without having to do any wiring. The volume and tune dials could not be retained without disassembling the very expensive and very complicated Toyota unit and soldering to the circuit board which even capable installers would have a hard time with. We understand there are "cheaper" models on the market, but keep in mind, ours is the only one developed in Australia and certified by Apple and Google for CarPlay and Android Auto.

Hi, unfortunately the original CD/DVD player could not be retained. However there is an external CD player available that connects via the units USB port that does work if you want to play cd's. The part number of this item is the ADVUSBCD.
