I love your new studio (nee Atelier) plans and the adjoining guest cottage. The beauty is you could one day live in the guest cottage if you decide to redo the original house. I love these projects. I’m not as excited as I should be for the friends house. I’m concerned it will weigh you down and not leave enough energy or time to enjoy anything. Plus it’s hard to work for friends. It never turns out. I’m hoping for the best for you and love your channel.

Your poly-tunnel is superb, it looks professional. You could use it to grow tropical produce such as pineapples. As for temperate stuff such as lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc., etc., it could well be too hot in there from late Spring on. And in your climate these do well outdoors, just use the tunnel to propagate them before planting out. However, it will give good crops of these things Autumn - Spring when they need the extra warmth and be guaranteed frost free. You will also get early crops of new potatoes, strawberries and herbs. I would focus on things that are expensive in the shops when out of season. You may need to make the end vent bigger because when it is 35-40c outside in the shade the thermometer in the tunnel, which is in full Sun, will be off the scale. Regarding your plans to renovate a friends house on top of what you have planned for your properties - I admire your pluck but fear you could be taking on too much at once. Unless, of course, your friend is not in a rush to see the work completed and you are prepared to live with your place much as it is for longer than originally anticipated, in which case you can pace yourselves.

Hi David the poly tunnel is primarily for winter use, but we do plan on getting a sun shade put over it for the summer. All will be revealed in up and coming videos. As for the renovation there’s no deadline and there’s also going to be labourers working there to do the heavy work. 😎👍🏻

I didn't know there were wattle trees in Portugal. At the 16.26 mark that is definitely a wattle tree - I know because they grow wild in Australia.

Wattles grow quickly but aren't a long lived tree, about 10 years on average. When we were building on a treeless 2 acre plot we planted wattles first so they could be a bit of a shelter for other more permanent trees while they were young seedlings. Can't wait to see how your projects go, going to be an interesting time for you and your viewers.
