A great story is when the American Expeditionary Force arrived in France for World War 1, as they ended their marched in Paris at Lafayette's tomb, they shouted, "Lafayette we are here!" in recognition of Lafayette's role in convincing France to participate in the American Revolution.

@pablor.sepulveda9929 yes but with the age transition your options are shaped by your civs historical paths and the leader paths provided by your leader choice, along with the other conditional unlocks. If you have a french leader with say the khmer or maya then that will let you eventually unlock becoming France in the modern age. Some leaders will presumably work for multiple civs that way.

Are the English confirmed in the game? Only 6 officially confirmed modern civs, 3 more we have heavy evidence of, and English isn't one of those 9. Insane to me that England and Russia might not be in the game yet here we are. I think Germany is a "maybe"

@@Cruor34 I think the British Empire will be in the game, as well as Russia. We have actually seen models of T-34 tanks in some footage so I think Russia is a safe bet, for Britain we have no confirmation of the sort but I doubt that they wouldn't be in the game from the start

Currently, 29 civilizations are confirmed, leaving 2 open, with much more prominent options like German, British, Russian, or Ottoman. It would be impossible for the Irish civilization to appear when the main civilizations are not complete.
