Mark Thomas !!!!!!!!!!!!! You've “Cut a notch above” in your Videos! 😃 Complacency almost always leads to an incident/ injury. Good point. These 1/4 routers are handy for roundovers, on a project, or for putting a simple easy decorative edge on a piece. Anytime a cord is eliminated is a plus, but there is still no substitute for extended run times by using an electric tool, in this case, or with the use of larger bits, in really hardwoods, IMO.

Thanks, George! I hope I never have an accident by being complacent, so I have to remind myself of what can happen. I get what you're saying about the cords. There seems to be advancements in batteries lately, like pouch cells and tabless cells, so I'm hoping the runtime will eventually be more than plenty.

They have some new batteries being introduced which would be a good fit for a bigger router.

The edge guide on that looks really robust and nice. Hopefully in the future Milwaukee will upgrade theirs to something similar to that. The current one is so flimsy and cheap.

Yes, it's a great edge guide and I don't think I mentioned that you can attach a extended wood fence piece to it. The metal piece has room for a couple wood screws.

Debating wether or not to get one as I've got a bit of tongue and grooving to do on some pine boards and I don't have a router table. Do you think it would cope ?

I have the old model that doesn’t hold the bit depth well. I keep a flush trim bit in it so it’s not a big deal if it drops a hair. I’d probably do the same with this one until I felt like I could trust it lol. I don’t think it’d ever take the place of my corded Bosch trim router, but it’d be nice to have another cordless around without forking over $200 for the m18 lol.

Looks uncomfortably TINY. I'm 6'4"... Reaching under that ledge seems as though there will be issues just getting my whole hand to fit somewhere on that tiny thing.

On a 3ah, when it drops to 2 of 4 bars, the performance on the brushed version significantly drops and has chipout. I doubt a 2ah will be useful.
