Both things are true. Titans Return Quake is better if you have no connection to G1.

Slipstream NEEDED a new chest. Either should have gotten new tooling or should have waited for more budget. Come on Hasbro. Not like there isn't a surplus of other characters they could have chosen from for this wave.

I’m on slipstream because the last decent mold she had was that finicky thrilling 30 repaint. I think she’ll always be a Windblade retool.

Quake looks amazing. While Slipstream didn't exactly come out the way I was hoping she would, I'm just happy to be getting a Slipstream as I don't have one in my collection.

They really put in the work on Quake, that kind of effort deserves to be rewarded with our toy dollars. Slipstream... I don't hate it, but the Ultra class from Cyberverse (with the pop-out spinny thing) is still on Amazon for like $28, and I already have one of those. While a bit lacking in articulation (and prone to popping the toes off) it does a much better job of looking like the character, and even the spring-loaded gimmick is not overly intrusive for once. I actually rather like that Windblade mold so it's not a definite no, but I'm not preordering at full price either.

I love Quake's robot mode and the reuse of the Skullgrin mold for transformation engineering, but that tank mode is a bit rough for me. Maybe the still images aren't doing it justice, but the tank's turret looks like an afterthought. Probably still getting him since the robot mode is fantastic, though.

I’m on fence with the slipstream not being a new mold being a the female seeker like no change except the new head and no way of use for the blasters except the hands and maybe under her arms but the quake looks good

Protoman thanks for the update! I gotta say I feel the same about Slipstream. If they painted it different, something new and released this I might have bit. This is not Slipstream to me at all. I'll get it as you said in the clearance isle. Quake I really dig. He's simple but done very well. The target masters are ok in the sense that they don't have much competition. If Hasbro intends to get rid of Core class. I hope they switch to Targetmasters and Minicons that are the quality of Core Class figures. That could really give things like Minicons the budget they deserve. 😊

While I think its better than Chromia this really should have at least been a seeker repaint if they weren't actually going to try and remold the Windblade model more so it looks like a proper seeker. Slipstream is supposed to be a seeker, not a Windblade clone. At the very least they could have replaced the turbines and just molded full wings.

Quake is an emphatic Yes! on owning, Slipstream is a pass, I would think that a re-release of Spinister with targetmasters similar to Needlenose and Quake is in order as well as in the future new figures for the Autobot Double targetmasters Scoop, Quickmix and Landfill.

I like Slipstream, never had a figure of her-looking for the Cyberverse Ultra. Quake is a good Partial-glad he is an Earth mode so my TR version isn't redundant. I undersrand him not being a Leopard like his original dissapoints some, but srill looks food. But a GE FoC Voyager Quake is a must have.

For me Slipstream would have been at least a bit better if the wings had been reverse with the propeller in the back instead of the front.

Quake is clearly the better one and a huge improvement over the Skullgrin mold, but he's objectively not as good of a toy as the Titans Return version.

Just because it isn’t a 1:1 with the Cyberverse Slipstream design doesn’t make it bad by any means. It fails the intent, but it’s a new Slipstream figure that could fit into a G1 shelf. It’s also a lot more accessible than that 2014 Japanese exclusive remold of the Thrilling 30 Windblade. I just think they could have committed more to Cyberverse or Animated had they gone with a head sculpt more evocative of those designs.

Agree. I think Slipstream is somewhat disappointing accuracy-wise, but is pretty great overall, as her character. I want her (& Windblade; cuz shes good, perfect, and cute)! Chromia and Slipstream are in the same boat; they're not great accuracy-wise, but are still quite good and cool as both respective character! I want Chromia, too. It would be cool to get more Cyberverse characters in Legacy/"Prime"(?) cuz we only have one atm (Windblade).

I know she is a retool but I feel like slipstream could have looked more f15 like, what I mean by that is that she could have looked more seeker like. Also her head sculpt does not look like cyberverse

Both are good. Slipstream could definitely be better accuracy-wise, same with Chromia, but at least we get a cool version of Slipstream in the collection! Shes somewhat a disappointment accuracy-wise, but I still like her. She looks pretty good overall. I do wish her forarms were retooled slightly to have 5mm ports on the sides to allow her Null Rays to plug on, but its fine, Ig. I do hope she does have some 5mm ports somewhere on her arms, at least. I want Slipstream (and Chromia & Windblade, too)! I'd love to get more Cyberverse characters, cuz we only have one atm (Windblade). Quake looks INSANE! The retooling is crazy! I like the botmode, tankmode, & the extent of retooling! I want him! Hes great!

I’m also pretty disappointed in Slipstream, but I’ll still get her. She just feels more like a G1 Slipstream than Cyberverse. Although I think with how the Windblade mold is, it wouldn’t take them much retooling to get a pretty good Animated Slipstream. New head, new torso, new wings, maybe new shoulders, and it’d work more than well enough. Side note, I remember seeing in some leaks, I think for next year, that we’re getting Spinister again as part of the Wreckers vs. Mayhem Amazon line, and after seeing Quake, I think I know why: so they can give him his accurate Targetmasters and match with the rest of the team. Could be some other minor changes to him, but I think that’s the main reason he’s being released again

I agree that Slipstream is a letdown. Quake turned out to be a nice surprise, & I will be buying him, but the top half of his tank mode is a hot mess. Still better than Skullgrin though.

Slipstream looks okay. I’ve mellowed out on her a lot since the space bridge reveal, but she’s still not the best. I hope we get a more proper animated style slipstream down the line, maybe as part of an animated themed capsule line or something. Maybe something like the legends windblade, which while not perfect, was a more faithful slipstream figure in terms of design. At least in my eyes. Quake meanwhile I’m definitely picking up, he looks really good! He gives off major goon/footsoldier vibes I really like.

honestly, i'm decently happy with Slipstream (and i actually very much enjoyed both Chromia and Prowl). i do wish she had more retooling but oh well. she kinda works for what she is. for Quake, i'm impressed by the retooling, but i also don't really care for the guy so i'll pass.

Spinister's targetmasters were sold separately as battlemasters during Siege. Hairsplitter had his trademark changed to Shrute and was packed in with the Amazon exclusive Skywarp tetrajet. Not easy to find. Singe was sold in the same battlemaster wave as Rung.

Landfill and Quickmix mostly. but i'd also understand a new Scoop happening since the last one was 10 years ago. as for redecos to justify mold costs... Scoop-> G2 Roadblock -> BW 2 Autostinger Landfill -> G2 Dirtbag ->Bw2 Autocrusher Quickmix -> Universe 2008 Heavy Load.

the cyberverse windblade and slipstream are just so mid for me. looking at getting the legends versions still. hopefully we get better versions of them in the future. i will also say that i like that we are getting this stuff "leaked" by the creators and such. keeps people from saying, "why are they showing us stuff so late after it getting leaked?" in the stream comments. its the fact the "leaks" of what the figure looks like is coming from hasbro. personally i didnt care that the figures got leaked ( not the leak list, that gave me great info as to what to add to my wishlist) before the stream. still like seeing them do thier stuff. Having all 3 decpticon double targetmasters having toys is great. hopefully this means that they will do the remaining autobot double targetmasters and maybe redo scoop

Windblade is perfect, tho. Legends Windblade is kinda bad, tbh. Legacy is better; _alot_ better. And, Slipstream is good, but somewhat disappointing accuracy-wise. I still want her, tho. I want both Slipstream and Quake (& Windblade, too)!

I like the Cyberverse Slipstream because it’s really just SG Windblade based off Panty, Stocking, and Garder. Just swap her head with Windblade. ;)

I'm feel very much the opposite on these reveals. I think the Slipstream looks really nice as is painted in a way that pops far more then Windblade did, sure she doesn't look like she did in Cyberverse, but I don't like her design in that show and am glad we are getting this more Legends like update of her. The head does feel a bit weird, but at least it's doing something new with her. Quake does look really cool, but I love that Titans Return figure and just can't justify replacing him with this.

Quake was ssoooooo much better than I thought he was going to be. Slipstream was disappointing I was hoping they do some minor retooling, such as the wing and robot chest.

Tiptop and Heater have no posability, so Quake’s a failure. Slipstream, on the other hand, makes for a good _evergreen_ version of herself, with the only downside being that her arms don’t have weapon ports.
