I do think to an extent it’s facade since he very clearly can be serious and we can see how he causally ignores Seiko talking about his parents before he talks about them more seriously later. To an extent, he is 100% trying to avert his eyes from what’s happening and pretend like everything is normal.

Great chapter of DDD!!! I like how their relationship is progressing. If you like this type of show I recommend Ranma 1/2 anime, it's a classic with a new adaptation on Ntflx. His story is very crazy, funny with absurd moments. Its characters are very charismatic with very good moments, I think it is a show that you might like. Its animation is excellent too.

This anime flips expected character traits. Jiji should be cool buts wacky and borderline annoyingly and later is introduced another guy you should see as a creep but ends up a always coming in clutch
