First Owl Chick Hatches!

You can hear the tiny screeches of the owlet chick. At the 30 second mark you can see the whole chick. Screech Owl Dad "Rusty" comes to see the owlet with a lizard treat. Two more eggs may hatch in the next several days. Roxy continues to incubate the other eggs and takes care of the new owlet.

I gotta say that it looks like Rusty wants to feed the chick. At 01:36 I swear I can hear Roxy say to him as he looks back, No, he can't eat that! ...and Rusty says aw schucks, well, I'ma give it to him anyway. And she jumps in and grabs it out of his beak and says Give that dang thing to me you ol rascal.
