The funny thing about this is that almost every modern FPS game lacks the kind of first person view performance modded "GTA" games has. I mean, the people who designed them mods even managed to make the limbs visible, while games like "COD" or "Far Cry" allows players to see hands and palms only. Aside of weapons and its reloading animations, of course. Quite an irony.

Duke Theft Auto is not GTA 1. It's just a map that uses some of the textures and has totally different missions in it. The actual maps of GTA 1 have been ripped and even remade several times by now, I don't know why anyone hasn't actually remade the game. They could have remade GTA 1 in that engine though I think, with better effort than that.

@@ORLANDOGSKl Yes obviously. My point is that Duke Theft Auto isn't even a mod of GTA 1. It's not a GTA map, it's a new city they built, it doesn't recreate any of GTA 1's missions or cars. The others are a mod of actual GTA games, bringing the old maps in to them or making an FPS mod for them. They could have just brought the 3 GTA 1 maps into SA like they did a GTA 2 map, but they didn't despite those maps being ripped and recreated several times already.

Anyone else ever notice the gauge clusters and dashboards in the cop cars in GTA V? The same exact layouts are in the Crown Vic cop cars, Taurus cop car, Town Car, Grand Marquis and Franklin's Charger. I think this was a nod to the Ford's Panther platform

I only played the first two a bit the second one a lot more then the first, I didn't really get into GTA until 3, but I still remember how blown away I was when it released and just amazed at how immersive it was with a new camera angle and the graphics. I felt the same about 4 by the physics and even better graphics. Vice City I loved for having the mansion and my own dudes to ride around with me not to mention motorcycles and a functioning airplane, then San Andreas was even better with the gang wars and drive bys, character customization and the insane huge map.
