This is a video of my initial reactions to Ateez's 'Bouncy', 'Not Okay', and 'Crazy Form' Music Videos. I hope you all enjoyed watching the video for the first time as much as i did. Super dope concepts, great rapping/ singing and a super clean choreography moment at the end. This M/V was a 10 out of 10, highly recommend.

I'm a new Atiny and I never thought I would be into Kpop because of the language barrier 😅 I really love understanding the music I listen to and music still hits harder when you fully understand the meanings behind it... I was curious about the Kpop culture and Peniel brought me to Kingdom and here I am (short version) 😅 I watched a lot of Ateez interviews and wanteez and so on before I truly listened to their music and trust their personality and their kindness with their songs until I figure out what the songs are about 😅

On of my favorite things to see when people watch Ateez is people smiling and laughing while asking "What the hell is going on?" I feel like Ateez genuinely sets out to make people smile with their fever-dream videos. Their videos are always crazy but they always inexplicably make everyone SO happy.

Turbulence hits me so hard every time!!! If you notice the lyrics change in the last chorus to be more optimistic. They did a live version of turbulence with a live band on the KZbin channel ItsLive! It’s magical and they’re all in suits!

I can see why you constantly keep closing your eyes coz the music is so damn good but i would highly recommend that you keep your eyes as wide open as you can absorb most of what's shown in the MV, Ateez's music videos hold a lot of meaning and details, if you catch them you will find them even more interesting and fun to watch, they are a fantastic group who are a full package of vocal, dance, visual, fashion, lore and personality. You have only discovered vocals till now and probably some dance and fashion recently but you will be amazed by their level of performances once you dive deep into that, please keep reacting to them, you are doing a great job! The final chorus and outro for Turbulence tickles my brain in all the right ways and I love it so much. The song itself is in my top 10 favorite ateez songs. The Real is such a fun song. Sometimes listening to it isn't enough, i have to go back and watch the video to get the full effect of how silly and crazy it is.

All of ATEEZ’s songs are amazing. Love them so much. My Favorite song ever is Fever. Something that might be fun for you is a couple of collab songs. A Little Space with Pentatonix. Black Cat Nero with KJK from Turbo. They originally performed it for the 1st time on Immortal Songs. Then KJK agreed to do a collab with them. They also did another song with him, Be My Lover. There’s an MV for all 3 of these.

I bet the movie you couldn't remember is Volcano High. I've not seen it myself, but I've heard that there are so many similarities between the mv for The Real and Volcano High that there's speculation that Digipedi (company that made the mv) probably had Volcano High in mind. I've read that the 2003 American version of Volcano High had voice work by rather well known hip hop artists, so it would make sense as a possibly familiar reference for both western and South Korean audiences

tbh their only shortcoming is they don't know how to rest! like I love all the content they give us, but for years they were pushing out content and doing tours and a K-drama and survival shows (yes at one point they had a comeback, survival show and 4 members were filming a drama ALL AT THE SAME TIME)... lately I feel (also since KQ now has Xikers to focus on (great group btw check them out if you can)) they're slowing down a bit, for which I'm actually thankful😅

Ahh i was so happy to see that you had a new ateez reaction up!! ❤ They are top groups in basically every other country except South Korea and the US! Aint that insane?! I was so aggravated that i found them out so late as well, but I'm so glad to see them coming up in the US now (and I think Skorea is finally opening their eyes and ears... they are just overflooded with groups) and I think the US just didn't know! Yeah, saying you're into kpop will get side eyes, especially if you're older (I'm older!). I don't think you absolutely need to understand the language because it's there, but I will say that if it seems a bit wonky, it's probably a translation issue versus a "we meant to do this" thing. Anyway, yes, Turbulence is one of their best, and really their only true ballad "title" track, since it's not technically a title track, but one that got an MV. It's the only true ATEEZ MV that doesn't have dancing (for ATINY thinking 'Don't Stop,' that was commissioned by the Universe app). It's such a wonderful, comforting look/feel/sound, though. The Real has a different history. Originally it appeared when the members competed against other groups on the show Kingdom: Legendary War, and it had the screaming opening sound you heard on Killing Voice. When they chose to release it on the album (half a yearish later), they had remixed a lot of the sounds and brought in more of the Korean traditional instruments. It's all about the visuals, though, because the storytelling is so there. The original title eludes to style (but has a larger scope in Korean context), and the book -- with the input of all the members previously fighting to establish what the style should be -- is a "revised" version of the collective style. The lines said by San, Seonghwa, and Jongho at the end all use their version of the phrase, "this is what we call style" and they each say it in their regional dialect, which sadly doesn't come through for those of us who aren't versed/experienced with the difference. You might be thinking of Volcano High, a Korean movie. The paper that Yunho holds (12:58) says "Passion" and during Turbulence, they talk about "Passion, Young, Fever" (5:59), and the burning bat at 10:08 says "Passion, Choi San", referring to member San in the orange jacket (and Choi is not pronounced choy, btw). Their world is VERY linked and even the subtleties carry through. The notion of "humble and kindness" carries through as their group ethic, and we often hear industry people say that they are very kind, respectful, and helpful any time they're anywhere. It all explains how and why they have such a devoted fan base. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the video! It's always great to see you!
