Nothing in the world like watching some discover Dirty Loops for the first time. I get to live vicariously every time.

I agree! I fell in love with them when I first saw "Hit Me" and I was forever changed. Became an instant fan. Now it's fun to witness others become Loopified!

Haha, great reaction. It's so much fun to see someone listening to Dirty Loops for the first time, as more or less everyone have their minds completely blown. Fun fact, Dirty Loops and Cory Wong and his horn section recorded the whole album "Turbo" without ever meeting in person. The videos from that album were recorded on two different continents, with Dirty Loops in Stockholm, and Cory and the horns in Minneapolis. Aron Mellergård (the drummer) does all the video editing for Dirty Loops, and is the one who put the films together. Cory Wong has a podcast, and in the episode where he has Henrik Linder (the bass player) as his guest, he talks a bit about how he and Aron worked out all the details, down to having similar rugs, to get two films that could be combined into looking as if they were in the same room. Dirty Loops even had Aron's girlfriend posing as Cory, so they'd know what direction to look in. :D Dirty Loops produces everything themselves, with the help of a guy named Simon Petrén, and Jonah Nilsson (keys and vocals) is actually a producer as well. However, they do usually have someone help with recording the drums in a proper studio. The collab album with Cory is produced by Dirty Loops and Cory together. I read somewhere that the huge drum on the side is called a gong drum. And yes, PLEASE, more Dirty Loops. Everything the've ever done is of this stellar quality, regardless of whether it's an original, like this one, or a cover. And they manage to sound different, and yet very much like themselves, in every one of them. Pick any song by them, and you most likely won't be disappointed.

SO MANY good songs from them, hard to go wrong with any of them, "Work Sh** Out" will absolutely melt your brain.
@fiddlestix30252 жыл бұрын
Yes I want more of that too!!! ☺️ Thanks for that reaction, it was just so good to see two people being blown away by Dirty Loops and Cory Wong (Vulvpeck is one of the bands he plays with a lot, -funky as hell). And I agree, Dirty Loops are one of the most killer bands out there at the moment. This chorus is just so good -as is everything else about this song lol! Jonah Nilsson, the singer and keyboardist, is slaying it on vocals, Henrik on bass, and Aron on drums. Re that video: don’t know if you guys have heard, but it was filmed on two different continents, with DLoops filming in Sweden, and Cory and his horns in the US. They both got identical lights, carpets etc. to make it look the same. Then Aron edited the visuals together ;) They’d never met in person at that point. Everything was arranged via FaceTime etc. and recorded separately. It would be absolutely awesome if you could, to bless our ears some more, do a reaction video to their version of “Thriller”! 🔥 (Plus everything else they’ve ever done ☺️) These three guys unbelievable. Loved your genuine appreciation of this band 🙏🙏

Great reaction! They really like to surprise you at the start and also end very suddenly. Do we want more Dirty Loops on the channel? Yes, please! Maybe World on fire next, and then Work shit out followed by Next to you? Oh, the credits might amuse you if you take the time to read them.

For drums “Work shit out” would be a good pick, but really anything. “Coffee break is over” from the side project Songs For Lovers, which is the drummer and bass player ft. their vocalist is a fun one.

I can recommend 2 Dirty Loops videos that are must-see vids for you. One is "Work Shit Out". Pay close attention to the solos. The other is the cover they did of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance". Henrik Linder (bass) gets a solo that is mind-bending.
@miff2272 жыл бұрын
yes to Thriller, but also one neither of you have heard before I think? That would be epic. P.S. Cory, you are a musician mate. Musician is in the brain, it's an ability that increased tribal cohesion and therefore tribal success and survival. You have it.

Although everything is gold, it is rather worth starting with their own creation like World on Fire kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnWulpaGqdGcfbc or Work Shit Out kzbin.info/www/bejne/qJCqhZqmmdR2npI ... from there you can get an idea of their abilities
