EXID had everything. They are vocally incredible, sexy as hell, with an INSANELY good discography, and they are one of the funniest k-pop groups of all time on variety. They deserved so much more than their label gave them. EDIT: I CANNOT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO MENTION LE WHO IS ONE OF THE MOST SKILLED COMPOSERS RAPPERS AND PRODUCERS IN KPOP GIRL GROUP HISTORY.

The group that got me into Kpop!! They have a long story, they debuted in 2012 but were about to disband after 3 years because they were unpopular. Then in 2015, a fancam of a member Hani dancing to their song Up & Down randomly went viral, and it’s history from there. They’ve pretty much disbanded by now however. When they were popular I remember some debates of the best singing girl group in Kpop, whether it was them or Mamamoo. Check out more of their stuff! Hani’s fancam that blew up is also still like the 4th most viewed Kpop fancam ever last time I checked, it’s at 34 million rn

They started as 6 members in 2012 but 3 members left soon after, so they asked their vocal coach (Solji, the second one from the right in the live version, she's an incredible singer) and a trainee (Hyelin, the one all the way on the right in the live version who is extra with the spoon lol) that was originally rejected to join them, which made them a 5 member group. Then they were almost completely unknown until the end of 2014, they were almost on the verge of disbanding because it was tough financially, their manager wasn't even getting paid at one point. Then a fancam of Hani performing "Up and down" went viral, it has more than 30 millions views, which is the most of any female kpop artist, and only one or two bts fancams have more views, and not by much, which is crazy because they were completely unknown at the time. This fancam saved their career, "Up and down", which had been released a few months before and hadn't been successul made a complete comeback on the charts, it was so crazy that music shows even invited EXID to come promote the song even though the promotion period had already ended (which I think is the first time it happened in kpop history, we now have another similar situation with the group called Brave girls). After that they came out with great songs again and again. But their trouble is not over, when they finally were successful, Solji (the former vocal coach), who is the leader and main vocal got sick and was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and had to take a break for almost 2 years, from the end of 2016 to their full group comeback in November 2018.

@@SinghReacts Yeah that was really sad, and even more considering how long it took her to be successful, she debuted in a ballad duo first in 2006 and after that she had kinda given up, people in the industry were also rejecting her and telling her she was too old and not "pretty enough" to re-debut at that age so she was working as a vocal coach until three members of EXID left and the remaining members asked her to join, and even after that they were struggling for like 2-3 years and about to disband before finally finiding success out of nowhere. That's why she won't be in some of the MVs but now she's better, she also had her solo debut and is recognized as one of the best ballad singers, she is invited on quite a few singing variety shows and killing it :)

EXID is one of my favorite groups of all time. I call them the title track queens because I think they make some of the catchiest and best title tracks in kpop. With that being said though, thanks for giving the girls love and reacting to this since they don’t have nearly enough reactions to their songs as they deserve

Thank you for reacting to EXID. You should check their entire discography, they are definitely some of the best in kpop. Not only vocally ahead of probably like 98% groups but also their rapper (LE) is the best female rapper imo. She could also sing very good, and also wrote Trouble maker, T-Ara, Fiestar and also EXID songs.

Man, thanks for getting to EXID! They and Mamamoo are my two fav girl groups. EXID is the first girl group to have all members compete on masked singers (Solji is actually the very first winner on the pilot of the show), and Mamamoo is the second girl group to accomplish that. Absolute queens. Another thing worth highlighting is that the rapper LE wrote and produced most of their songs. She’s one of the most credited (lyrics and song-writing) female idols in kpop. Oh did I mention that like Mamamoo they are crazy off stage lol. Also just FYI their group name is pronounced as E-X-I-D (individual letters instead of a word). Hope you can get to more of their content soon!

Can't wait to see you react to more of EXID, btw the rapper, L.E, is the one who writes and produces the songs for the group, and she also does it for other artists too, she is super talented, she is like the second most credited female idol songwriter (but Soyeon from G-idle is catching up since LE is less active now, hopefully LE comes back with a solo album at some point! @@SinghReacts Yeah LE was an underground rapper first, just like Soyeon, pretty much everything EXID released was written by her, she also wrote songs for Hyuna for example who she is friends with and also kind of her rap mentor. Recently she wrote and produced for a new girl group that just debuted called Tri.be, some of them members were trainees at the agency EXID were in and the one who debuted them is also the one who worked with EXID, Shinsadong tiger.

EXID is a legendary grouo.They actually have not disbanded (i saw someone in these comments say they did) they just have all left the company & are on hiatus but they never said they were disbanding they have had a couple foreign comebacks in the past 2 years but we're all hoping for another korean comeback asap. Solji is their main vocalist & she won king of masked singer like 5 times it was crazy plus she was their vocal trainer before joining the group. I hope you check out more songs by them, their title tracks are fire & iconic but their b-sides are even better. others already hopped in with aspects of their crazy yoyo history and how, sadly, they're basically disbanded in all but name (but still do some stuff in japan, apparently). and yes, they definitely did a more mature sexy and owned it (which is still a rarity, sadly) you'll still see "up and down" pop up in a lot of random dance challenges, it's that iconic despite (or maybe because of) being banned from tv originally one of the members, hani (the one with the cross earring in "pink oil"), is actually pretty close friends with moonbyul, the two are the only two female idols in the '92 liners club with members of bts, vixx and b1a4 (it's a group of idols born in the same year that hang out together when they can and have a private chatroom they talk in). she and byul have been known to call each other while on radio shows where they're asked to find a friend on their phone and see if they know random information about the person calling hani also did a song with solar and luna of f(x), "honeybee" which is... well... you'll see eventually

Not successful on release, somebody did the close-up on Hani while the group performed Up & Down four months later and her butt looked so great that video got millions of hits and the song got popular and started climbing the charts 6 months after release. They were really funny on entertainment shows. For a time, they earned the nickname "comedians who sing well" instead of a simple idol group. They were also considered "boy band" by fans, because they run away from the normal female Korean idol type, sometimes they look like a male group (because they made a lot of jokes.).
