She was a literal teen when she made the song so it definitely screams teen drama, I was a teen when it came out so I absolutely love it and still do. I got to see Paramore live twice and she is an amaaazing singer with a great heart. Last I checked she no longer performs this song because she's grown up and doesn't feel the "once a whore you're nothing more and that'll never change" line is valid or how she really feels and just doesn't like it anymore.

Ah.. soap box time! The make-up thing irks me a little bit... Yeah, Haley is wearing makeup too, but the point of removing the bully's is that without it and the fake chest, she's just a sad, bitter person. It's removing the fakery and seeing what is left. The singer doesn't define or hide herself behind these tricks so she's laughing at the bully's need to do so. The whole "social proof" thing is wrong too. The gf in that situation isn't seeing "the value" of her bf, she's hurt and disgusted that he would betray her genuine feelings for the fakery and cattiness of the popular bully. It's a demonstration of high school drama and silly games because she was in high school when she wrote it.
