Mike Patton is unequivocally the greatest rock singer of all time. A bit nasally in The Real Thing, but still fantastic. Your review will not age well if anyone bothers with it.

Mike is known for being the man of a thousand voices. He has a range that is amazing. Like his other bands peeping tom ,or tomahawk,, check out peeping tom an the song is mojo.

There’s a lot to Faith No More, this was a small element which, was easy to digest for the masses, listen to everything they recorded and then comment Homie, if you know something as diverse, let us know, Cheers🍻

I used to think bro dislikes music, now I'm just convinced he hates life itself.

Riiight 🤣 by his cocky attitude I expected him to be some mad good drummer but he's like average at the best and the music he makes is some marvel nickelback superhero shit. Talking about throwing rocks out of a glass house this guy 🤡

FNM!!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽I appreciate Angel Dust’s master songwriting! But, The Real Thing is one of the FUNNEST rock/metal albums I’ve ever enjoyed just jamming and head-banging too! Not every musical piece written has to be an epic revolutionary masterpiece JB!!! Loosen up! Relax, and I know this is hard, but have fun! I know what JB is getting at, he needs to understand that this style music is equivalent to a “food taste palette cleanser”. Sometimes a consumer of music doesnt wanna be emotionally “touched/moved” or blown away by an epic masterpiece of music. That’s what 90s rock was revolting against, the excessive and never-ending “epic musicianship” of 80s guitarists and drummers. Sometimes we just want simple fun rocking jams dammit!

whats funny is that this song is from the 80s 😆 it wasn't until the early 90s that it started getting big airplay so that might be why its associated with the decade.

This song was a weight room banger for our football team. Why all the instruments in your studio and no knowledge of them?

A good way to describe 'Falling To Pieces' - it's maximally radio-friendly. Keep in mind that these guys have been around since 1979 and done great work before this so it's not like they forgot how to play or write, they just wrote a song to sell advertising time and also get the much less musically-inclined (typically intimidated by anything deep or complex) to check their music out.

This review may or may not age well. And some unsolicited advice. This ground breaking band named Faith No More needs no defense from me. They’re easily one of the most important and influential bands in all of rock and roll. It’s actually difficult to overstate that. This is a cult band to be sure - mostly enjoyed by musicians and music nerds. In other words - FNM weren’t everybodies cup of tea. You guys have great personalities on your KZbin channel but no deep sense of your rock history. I’m not busting your balls, I’m just stating a fact. And lots of reactors have this same issue. They remedy this by humbly doing a quick one minute internet search on the band they’re about to react to before they react to the music. Basic information like albums sold and awards and accolades and artists they influenced, could give you some perspective so you don’t accidentally dismiss a fan base that would’ve appreciated your show if you had simply offered some perspective with your criticisms. You might still think a song stinks - and definitely say so. I’m not trying to tell you to judge the music any more or less harshly. By all means always be yourself. I just want you guys to stop and consider that although you guys didn’t like the FNM selection which is fine, you’ve dismissed a fan base that would’ve engaged your channel. The Faith no More army is vast and diverse. FNM was one of those bands that changed the way that rock music sounded forever. They were the first rock band to successfully employed a DJ in a rock band. One of the first to successfully merge rock and rap. They changed the way music videos were made. Before them, music videos were mostly just live performances. Or interpretive pieces. FNM showed that abstract works. They influenced so many bands. Korn, Def Tones, Lincoln Park, incubus, the entire grunge genre, slipknot, tool have all cited FNM as a huge influence. Anyway. I don’t think dismissing an entire fan base that would’ve likely engaged you with what you guys do best, which is discuss music. Adding that little wrinkle to your formula probably will do wonders for your channel. Be respectful fellas Just my opinion.

Hey Gravelbone, its Charles, appreciate your respectful message my bro and continuing to tune in , trust me I was and still am a fan of FNM, from Angel dust to Album of the year, bought Introduce yourself but wasnt feeling the previous singer, and sol invictus came a bit late for me to catch onto, basically saying because a few on the channel are not into something ,does not mean that thats the overall opinion of the channel even tho JB has the biggest Mouth, without doubt theres a way to put across disliking something and I do encourage JB to be tactful but dont want them to be overly sensored that their opinion is not genuine , in basic what im saying is its usually equalled out the lovers and haters, and if theres one that agree's with your opinion, shouldnt take it to heart if the others dont.

Prefer their stuff after this album. Not overly into Mike Pattons vocal tone on this album. Check out something off Angel Dust if you want to give them another chance. Midlife Crisis or Land Of Sunshine maybe. Or if you want something heavier, try The Gentle Art Of making Enemies or Ricochet off the King For A Day album.

Mike is an amazing singer, even if I don't have many of his songs on a playlist and he's very entertaining. Do yourself a favor and watch one of the many vocal compilations of him on KZbin and maybe a video of his craziest moments. Greetings from Germany

@7:22 Musical dexterity tha nilla said.... You clearly only know FNM as this song which is while not their pinnacle of songwriting but a gateway to extraordinary works that comes after. You should really listen & research this band more. Another chance has been given, use it wisely ;-)

One recommendation - go back a bit farther and grab 'The Crab Song' from 'Introduce Yourself'. It's probably one of Chuck Moseley's best with them. 'Faster Disco' is also a nice one off that album (that one feels VERY 80's though - you'd get Lost Boys flashbacks).

tell your bro to listen to Guinea Pig 4 from Mike Patton an tell me he prefers that over falling to pieces lol I don't think falling is garbage I think it's an alright song. I always felt that the real thing album is overrated an outdated... I still like some songs from it, I prefer the angel dust era or king for a day! I think your bro just doesn't know how to appreciate music in terms of instruments, punish him by making him listen to Guinea Pig 4. xD
