Gfriend is known for their innocent image during debut, their music is more to contemporary & ballad style. But even their vibes is ballad their choreography is super amazing and hard. Gfriend actually from Source Music (small and unknown) company. Glad that they didn't follow the trend girl crush like almost gg doing rn but they can achieved their successful. Most of member are song writer, they can hit highnote easily, yuju is music composer, and Gfriend rlly known with their title God-Friend, Monster Performance, Top Vocal Queen.

Actually their songs are like a book. The stories of all of their title tracks are connected to each other except sunny summer. Hoping that you will watch it all from Glass Bead to Apple Also please watch their dance practice and 2x faster version of their songs.

Sunny Summer was their song haha. We can hear their names on the lyrics ( they use pun intended for the lyrics) and it's cute. And you are dang right. They have storyline from Glass Bead era and now we're having another comeback on November, another storyline ❤ amd now that they are in bighit, their storyline was connected to BigHit universe (even if they are just labels) especially to BTS and TXT universe and soon for Enhypen universe hihi.

Thanks for taking the time to react to Gfriend again. I completely understand that the majority of people in the West find it hard to connect to Gfriend’s music as it attacks their preconceptions over what constitutes a good song as it is so different to what they are used to listening to. A few people can be won over by their style and individuality but they have one of the smaller global fandoms because of this despite being ranked as the 4th most popular girl group in Asia in a poll by Melon and their entire discography rated the best in KPop by a recent poll in Korea even beating BTS!

You are right about Sunrise. It's considered by many the sequel to Time For The Moon Night. Noh Joo-hwan was the song writer and producer for both songs, and they are generally considered part of Gfriend's "Passionate Melancholy" era where an up-tempo beat disguises the serious nature of the theme of the song. To me, Time For The Moon Night is about mourning of the loved one, and Sunrise is about the recovery from mourning. The music sheet puzzle suggests that we can find relief from tragic love through music.

I think that what you're trying to describe sunrise is AESTHETIC :') And yessss sunrise is that queen. Thanks for appreciating their vocals! And the way you feel about TIME FOR THE MOON NIGHT(TFTMN) and SUNRISE is "passionate melancholy" it is a concept made by GFRIEND! UNIQUE IN K-POP😉❤️(the song is melancholic but the choreo is HOHOHO lit) you should maybe check out "labyrinth" it is a bside song in the LABYRINTH ALBUM..... Appreciate your effort in trying to understand the storyline :) I'm a really big buddy and I don't understand the storyline either 😂I'm just waiting for the genius buddies to solve put the mystery. Fun fact in fever era GFRIEND acquired many buddies. The same effect as Apple did. They got 1m subs during this era. I kinda get what you mean when you said that listening to a song without the mv made you like it more than the first listen with the mv. In the case with Gfriend, i dont love their mvs but i really like their songs specially when you know all the members and can tell who is singing. Yuju and Eunha vocals are just killers.

nice reaction!! although im kinda surprised that you described "Apple" as cutesy because the lyrics combined with the video are very dark, with the whole ''giving in to temptation" story. in general their style is not as "hip" and badass as other groups but their theme since 2018 is certainly darker than other groups

Ah Apple I didn't really feel like it was necessarily 'cute' but it was definitely cuter than most other girl group songs I tend to like (or at least it felt like that upon first reacting to it). As I said in the video, it's kind of hard to pin down their style... it's not cute it's more a mix of many different moods and styles, I feel like. Either way they're definitely super talented and have a unique style of music! Thanks for watching 😊

Actually, they have their own storyline, all of their title track songs (except for the summer songs) are connected to each other as well as their music videos. It’s like a series that you watch episode by episode. So if you’d like to fully understand it, you gotta watch from the very beginning, which is Glass Bead. 😊

Check out their mvs for Fingertip and Crossroads as those two videos are heavy in storyline and contains imageries already present in TFTMN and Sunrise. Also, you don't have to be pressured into liking the style of music they put out. It is not for everyone but still it is the sound that makes them stand out in the industry. In my point of view, from Time For The Moon Night (TFTMN) we already know that they are already dead, and only Eunha that still alive. They could only meet when the night come (maybe in their dream) and the Sunrise song tells about their loneliness when the sun is finally rise and they'll separated again when Eunha woke up.. (I'm sorry for my bad english, hope that everyone could understand)

you look so pretty "today" omg I know is not "today" but anyways Again, I enjoy so much your videos. I watched Sunrise and Fever like 2 times each, I think I like Sunrise better because music-wise it's more interesting, I think. Also, Yuju's voice is everything. I also think is more "coherent" and special, like... Fever is not a bad song and the MV is okaty, but is just a summer comeback with some random elements like the cactus and the cars. Is just meant to look "cool" and "summery" but I personally don't get it. I do like the song but Sunrise was more impressive. Random fact. Sowon is actually rumored to be JeongHan's girlfriend, she also had rumors with Cha EunWoo since ASTRO/GFRIEND are good friends. Actually MoonBin and SinB are childhood friends, like brothers. A lot of fans will hate me for pointing this out but idk, is not even a scandal, idols are people too, of course they wanna have dates. I mean, who wouldn't date Sowon? Keep the good work! :)

Her voice is amazing too, she is the other main vocal along with Yuju, if Yuju is not doing a high note then Eunha is, her voice is the exact opposite of Yuju’s but just as powerful which makes for a wonderful blend 💗

Although you clearly are not a fan of most of their music there are 2 songs that may suit your taste better. Fingertip is a blast of 80s funk and very different to anything that they have done before or since whilst Labyrinth is a base heavy EDM which you might like.

If you love Day6 and Seventeen, well I think GFriend is not far from them; in term of the "weight" of content. Seventeen and GFriend even have a collaboration in MAMA before. Maybe you need to dig deeper, bcs GFriend BIGGEST charm actually are their lyrics, rich musicality, meaningful choreo, personality, and story (story in MV and their career story). Its understandable if you not get it in 1st or 2nd try watching MV,
