Idk about everyone else but the gift of metal being dark is that it allows me to vent out the negativity. Everyone has “dark” thoughts, feelings, and energy. It’s just a natural side-effect of this world. When someone gets you amped to fight them but you can’t fight them(at work, public event, etc) you have all this energy stored inside of you so you walk it off, run, workout or something. With metal you let that shit out by jumping, head banging, moshing, and it’s a powerful feeling when everyone around you is releasing that energy from themselves and giving it back to the band as they are giving us all they have. When you mentioned seeing them live you were spot on. Saw them back in 2016 when they opened for Metallica and the whole stadium LIT UP. Something about that opening guitar got every single person who was in GA shoving to the front as much as possible and we all were singing with them! All the mosh pits that were there before were disbanded and the floor shook with all of us stomping our feet!
