-I discovered this band last year through reaction videos of “Pisces.” Since then, I’ve seen them live three times since December. They have become my favorite band. -“Teacher, Teacher” is my favorite song by them. There are a number of their songs that I’ll listen to and wonder if I have to change my selection with “Perennial”, “Mediator”, “Vortex”, and “Sit Stay Roll Over” being among them. As soon as I hear “Good evening, kids. Take your seats and open up your bibles”, there’s no question. -My favorite part is the last verse. I think “I smile to because I want you to see how I break the rules in front of your trinity.” with her voice is the most beautiful and elegant way to tell someone “Fuck you!” -Do yourself a favor and go down the Jinjer rabbit hole.

i finally got to see them live a month or so ago on an off night from the disturbed tour, they did not disappoint at all. Was supposed to see them on Knotfest, but they had to cancel those dates because of the war.

Legitimately impressed you did this. She always had a Gwen Stefani from 'No doubt' with some badass screams. "Pisces" is the best one to react for newbs, but great song too. Trivium maybe "sword over Damocles" or "The Sin and the Sentence" amongst a ton of others. They a good bridge metal band that make bangers. They are killer dudes, incredibly dedicated to their craft, and I can all but promise you that they will show you some love for supporting them. Not a small band

This song uses the imagery of abusive teachers and schools as a metaphor for anyone using a position of power or authority(celebs, politicians, business moguls, internet stars) to tell common people how to live or act when they have no clue what's going on in the real world

I think this is a simplified understanding of these lyrics. It seems to me that a teacher is our conscience, morality, instilled by society and dictating our actions to us. It’s not for nothing that in the song the school and the inscriptions on the blackboard disappear. they were only in our imagination. Everyone has a teacher in their brain who tells us what to do and what not to do, what is good and what is bad.

You either have a darn good ear to understand the growled lyric or are a wise man reading the lyrics heh. Either way kudos. Los more greatness from them. Pisces is most people's starting point but you already know the twist - still a great song though. Id recommend something on stage though. Perennial live at Wacken is a classic. Sit Stay Roll Over is a banger but the bass is a bit disappointingly low in the mix in all of the Melbourne recordings. Pit Of Consciousness live in Kiev (now Kyiv) is their most impressive video. I've seen the two Greatest Live Performances in the last 4 years possible. Both KZbin Sensations. The first was LaydeBakDFR at the Union EAV in 2018. The Second Was Jinjer in 2023 in Chicago. The best Rapper in the Game and the Best Metal Band Touring the US. A few things I can tell you because I've been following Jinjer intensely. You cut the songs to avoid blocks and monetization bans. Jinjer NEVER blocks. KZbin was their Strategy for getting known and blocking doesn't help them. They'll even tell you that in their interviews. Next, that have no less than 15 tracks this good. It's no Dark Matter, but it's a Darkness of it's own shade. They are genius instrumentalists , she does do those voices genuinely. Lastly, they lost their home in the Ukraine War. They are a very interesting band. Thank You for finally giving them a look.

you might like Powerwolf, by the same producer/ record label as this, they are considered power metal. some of my favorite songs by Powerwolf are " Army of the Night" "incense and Iron" "In the Name of God (Daus Vult)" and "Venom of Venus" they are different as they play metal with an organ.
