The song is about the original bass player who died in 2010 from a overdose and the original drummer Joey jordison leaving the band and what the rest of the original guys have been going thru since then. This album and time was a big transition for the band and since then they fired chris the guy with the long nose so 3 original guys are gone

I know when I was first getting into hard rock and metal music, especially once the internet made everything readily accessible and I had access to said internet, I'd look up lyrics or better yet, lyric videos, to get a feel of what bands were saying. I do the same thing now that I'm catching up on my rap music because it both sounds so different and the flow and rhythm of their voice is different to I can't keep in pace with how their talking, even if its slow because I'm trying to stay with them and I'm either ending up to far ahead or behind in my brain. Though I absolutely can not stand weak or janky ass flow that too many got right now.

You need to react to Tool. Most reactors react to Schism, The Pot or 46&2 as they were probably the most commercialized songs of theirs. Personally, I’m sick of hearing those ones being covered. Try AEnema, Right in Two, Parabol/Parabola, The Grudge , ,Vicarious and if you like Tool try Rosetta Stoned and when you have time try Wings for Marie parts 1&2.

I love that you get so into the songs haha for someone who grew up on only rap and hip hop - you're able to appreciate good music.
