💯! He is very much opposed to drug abuse and has often spoken about how essentially being high on life through intimate connection with nature, together with his focus on his music, is what prevented him from getting into drugs, like so many of his contemporaries did.

From 1977 - 1979 Ted Nugent was the #1 entertainer in the world. Guitar fury like no other to this date. And fast talking messages with the crowd . His concerts were the rage and the guitar inspired many. No drugs or booze got him alot of criticism, and van Halen tapping style took over. Ted still slings guitar with the best of them in his 70 s . Hunting and politics dominate his conversation now , but he should be remembered for his guitar style and attitude.

And also be remembered that he is an intellectual Giant. People don't like to admit it because he is as annoying and arrogant as he is intelligent. But the fact remains that he is extremely intelligent and sharp as a tack.

I have seen Ted Nugent in concert two times. Both concerts were great. He is very high-energy and clearly loves playing for the audience. What you see is what you get with him. He is one of the most genuine musicians I have ever come across.

This was actually a fairly mellow performance for "The Motor City Madman". He was well known for his antics on stage, running around, swinging on ropes like Tarzan, wearing nothing but a leather loin cloth! 😳🤯😎

I had the pleasure of seeing Ted in the 70’s. The tour slogan was..’if it’s too loud, you’re too old’. Boy it was loud…I’d never seen a skyscraper set of amplifiers. A master metal guitarist backed by an incredible band. He lives off the land and shoots his own game for food. This video captures the very essence of Mr Nugent. I would seriously recommend Stranglehold as a track to enjoy…it takes no prisoners. Sabina…I’m delighted to see this classic displayed on your channel…for your audience to enjoy. Your face was drinking in the experience..loved it.

I've seen him multiple times in northern Indiana and Southern Michigan. Everything from outdoor venues, to regular concert Halls to reasonably small bars, and he always throws a good show and always pours it on and gives it his all no matter how big or how small. Not uncommon for his Antics to get him banned from Ever playing that venue again😅 From swinging down from the catwalk like Tarzan in his opening song. Or shooting flaming arrows at Targets that the fire code did not like very well🤣 The choice to see one of his shows if they were somewhere near where I no brainer. They were always fun.

What was amusing was he had two people from Aerosmith in his car and they were driving around on his old growth forest estate. They said they wish they had something like that and he laughed at them, "Hell four or five of the went up your noses." They laughed and said yeah yeah we did. I always enjoyed him and even more so now. He had such a wonderful middle finger sounding raunch to his playing. My wife was visiting with her mom back in L.A. and this song came on and she said oh that's such a cute song. My wife just said yes it is isn't it. LMAO

No drugs or alcohol, just a strong opinion of himself and no filter. He is a strong bow and arrow hunter from an early age. He has always been sex and loud guitar music, no drugs or drink. He had bands in the 60's'Amboy Dukes', Journey to the center of your mind. It is a drug song without a doubt. Another singer wrote the words and sang it. Ted fired many a band member for to much drug use. He said he couldn't stand the stupidity. " "Strangle Hold"is great guitar work also "Great White Buffalo," that song rocks hard and fast.

Ted didn't do a lot of lead-vocals, but is a great guitarist. Check out the aforementioned "Stranglehold". Damn Yankees was a supergroup in the early 90's consisting of Tommy Shaw (Styx), Jack Blades(Night Ranger), Ted Nugent, and Michael Cartellone(now with Lynyrd Skynyrd). With Tommy and Jack on awesome vocals and Ted on the shredding guitar, they produced some great stuff in just the few years of the band. Check out the song "COME AGAIN" live from Raleigh '91 (close to my hometown) or the official video.

The Motor City Madman! Straight from Detroit in my home state and owns 1000s of acres of hunting land 40 minutes from here. No drugs, no booze, EVER. Just a natural high big on traditional American values, a true patriot, big 2nd supporter, and loves nothing more than bow hunting big game. Speaks his mind and doesn't hold back. And he's an incredible guitarist. Large part of the reason i picked up a guitar to begin with. What i feel more Americans should strive to be. I always dig this type of content. Watching people react to hearing & seeing music for the 1st time in various genres, and then giving feedback from their experiences. This was a good choice. The bagpipes, the Hendrix style Star Spangled Banner was a nice touch.
