First Recumbent Trike Ride on my HP Velotechnik Scorpion FS 26 | BentRider Nation 4K Video

This was my first ride on my HP Velotechnik Scorpion FS 26 recumbent trike. I bought it and then tore my meniscus. I waited a month for surgery and this ride is three weeks after the surgery. It felt so good to be outside on the trike even though it was only a 4.12 mile ride and my average speed was just under 8 mph. The ride was very smooth and I think near the top of any of the other trikes that I have owned.

Keep moving forward Kenny P. I also own a HP Velotechnik Scorpion+ 26... I've had both my knees repaired. My left knee has been replaced 3 times... Ugh. When I bought my HP last November, I added the Shimano Steps for assistance. It has been a godsend.

Tom Boyd thanks for watching! I’m doing pretty well on the trike now; actually my knee is better when I ride than when I walk. I’ve put several hundred miles on the trike and have made a lot of changes including adding a Rohloff Speedhub (which I love). Another video to follow with the final changes. I just bought my first Recumbent Trike a few days ago, I use to ride my Recumbent Bike, but my equilibrium seems to be off lately so I added a used trike to my collection. I love it, so easy and comfortable to ride. It's my go to daily ride now. Glad you are out and about, enjoying yourself. Pretty scenery.

Trikes are excellent. Glad you can ride. I see your trike is orange. I have an orange Catrike 559 and wear orange for visibility.

With your wider ergomesh seat on does it significantly affect the turning circle of the trike compared to the bodylink seat?
