Looks classy, like a spin-off from MV Agusta ;-) For these low bars you need fast & impeccable roads, unlike Peak district. The engine is a Rottweiler, sounds unique. Thanks for your impressions, Andre, on this cold Sunday (snow has nearly melted) in Nürnberg/Germany, Günter

Hi, It is a great bike, and the Peak District roads are not it’s natural habitat 🤣. I still had fun, even if I don’t end up owning one.

I suspect you have better roads for them than I do. Do you have a local dealer? (Not sure what counts as local I’m TX… 100 miles 😁)

@@PeakMotorcycles Yes, we have a Triumph dealership here in Dallas. You’re right, a fellow could get a lot of use out of this bike around here. Lots of freeways/motorways, and long distances. If you’re not driving 80mph in Texas, you’re in the way.

It really is awesome. I saw the pics of the new Honda 1100 Hawk, which has some similar styling cues, but on a bike like this, the 1100 from the africa twin makes it more of a tractor and not in the same league as the Triumph.

Afternoon, you definitely improved the view for your viewers from last video you posted, this time you got it spot on for the 1st 10 minutes haha, but it was still a pleasure to watch. The triumph looked awesome, I did like the rolling indicators and brake light, when you opened the throttle i could feel the power 👌 but I love all bikes apart from Harley's and that sort of bike in general, they just dont rock my boat lol. Anyway great review and enjoy the rest of your weekend 🤙

Aye, sorry about that. I think it’s still a bit too narrow, so have switched it up to Wide for future videos. Looking at the flat track video now, it’s a much better field of vision. Thanks for your patience!

Great video Andre. I do think it’s a really good looking bike.I do agree with you, if it was a bit cheaper, I will definitely get one. But for me it will be a second bike , and I can’t justify the cost.
@PeakMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
For me it’s a 6th 🤣 and also can’t justify the cost. I guess it would replace my CB1000R as I wouldn’t keep both, but at nearly twice the price for bikes that do sort of the same thing, I don’t think I’d swap.

Love the quality of Triumph motorcycles, premium bikes. 🙂 I absolutely loved my Tiger 800 back in the day. Are you planning to test ride the new Tiger 1200? I would be really interested hearing your thoughts on that bike. 👍🏻
@PeakMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
Yup. Just waiting for one to come into the local dealer. I’m interested to see how the T-Plane firing sequence feels, and I’ll be riding it back to back with my GS, which for me is the benchmark comparison. Smoothness of a triple and the feel of a twin? We shall see!

Hi thxfor review,i had 2021 mt09 and now 2022 xsr900, i plan to buy 1200 rr but is it too uncomfortable for 400/500 km long journeys? Im 188 cm tall
@PeakMotorcycles Жыл бұрын
Everyone is different, so best is to try it and see how it fits. For me, I wouldn’t, and I’m 1m85. I would tour on the Speed Triple 1200RS though. (I had the 1050 Speed Triple R and toured on that around Europe). The bars are slightly higher on risers instead of clip-ons, but try both if you can. The 1200 triple engine is a monster whichever bike it is in.

Looks a beautiful machine. I'm a former 1050 Speed Triple owner and afraid the new bikes have done nothing to tempt me back off my MT10. Yes great new engine but the RS felt too focused ergonomically for me when I sat on it and all the reports from testers were saying the suspension was too firm and too focused on Speed around a track. I was hoping for something less focused like the base model 1050 I owned but no they've doubled down and made it more focused, more cramped and more uncomfortable. The electronic suspension should have been on the RS and a more UK roads suited R version should have been made. Perhaps I'm no longer their target market. Sorry about the downer on the bike, still think it's beautiful but definitely not for me.
@PeakMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
I was a 2014 (pre-electronics) Speed Triple 1050R owner and it was a fabulous bike. I took it round Europe and up and down the country. I replaced it with a CB1000R a couple of years ago. That was the closest I could find in terms of practical, usable power. This new 1200RR is nuts, and I agree it’s beautiful, but also not for me. I didn’t find it particularly uncomfortable. Compared to the R7 I rode last week, this is a sofa! (Though the clip ons are lower than I’d choose). It was as a fun thing to try for an afternoon!

You can easily soften the RS suspension although I havent been tempted to yet and driven it on some serious country lanes. Unless you are planning to race it the electronically adjusted suspension is not giving you anything you cant easily get from the RS and a spanner. It certainly is nowhere near as hard as my 765RS was and there are plenty of room to dial in comfort.

@@simonbeal2148 I was supposed to be getting rid of my CB1000R as it’s the only bike I didn’t ride last year. Will see what they’ll offer on a trade in on that. Though I’m off on tour in 8 days, and working between now and then, so might be short on time to sort something. We shall see. There seem to be a few new unregistered ones for £13-14k, but others still for £17-18… I did think it was a brilliant bike, but couldn’t justify the list price. Will see how I get on for £4-5k less.

The exposed tube frame below and around the gas tank is a hideous styling cue unfortunately shared across numerous brands today.
@PeakMotorcycles2 жыл бұрын
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder thought 😉 and one person’s hideous is another’s’ as gorgeous. I quite like the exposed tube frame. It reminds me of the 2014 Speed Triple 1050R I used to own. Each to their own though!
