First Ride of 2024 | 2023 KTM Adventure R
Happy 2024 to my fellow Adventure Motorcycle Community! I've been going crazy as it's been way too long since I've had a chance to get out. That finally happened on Friday 1-19-24 as I was able to leave the world behind and take off on a day to go adventure and explore!
Thanks once again for coming along. Please, subscribe and like this video and just maybe, KZbin will put it out there for more folks to see!

I can see that it would! You’re pretty familiar with that route as well. I hope I can get a chance to use my backpacking gear once again and get a few Moto camping trips in. I think you would have loved that!

Todd, as always loved going on this adventure with you. Scared me a few times as you rode on those slippery dirt roads. Lots easier than when we cycled on old millerton Rd. Blessings Bro

I was looking at the black dog and the outback Motortek heavy duty skid plate I ended up ordering the outback one the aftermarket plates look like they mount primarily to the frame and are quite a bit more rigid

Have you had any problems with the bike like the 21,22 and 23 model?

When I first got the bike, I had an issue with the front tire not holding air. It was a slow leak that progressively got worse over time. The dealer had to end up changing the inner rubber gasket liner on both the spokes and then the other rim liner and I haven't had an issue since. No other issues (knock on wood), I'm at 3,000 miles so far. Thanks for the comment.

I think this is also a good unit probably a lot less weight it also mounts to the frame

Tod I would highly recommend replacing your skid plate with a better one my 890 fell over hitting the bottom front corner of the plate sending all the force to the rubber insert on the tank cracking it I have a new one coming $1570

Wow, I am so sorry that happened to you. A new skid plate is definitely on my list of coming upgrades. Just been waiting for funds to replenish a bit. Which plate did you go with?
