@Max S cylinder usually isn't what you replace unless damaged. For trail riding I recommend changing the Piston out at 70-80 hours, but if your more track riding style I recommend changing out the Piston at 50-60 hours.

You can definitely tell it's not as explosive as the Yz but it's also more useable and controllable. It's a very nice bike I love the Huskies super stoked for you.

I had a SX250 2019.. amazing fun bike to ride.. i have some small tips.. 3 things I can recommend you to replace&do1: pipe and muffler to get a little longer register to rev on. I had Pro circuit with the 304 muffler ... not shorty 2: V-force 4 reed much better respons 3: make holes in the side plastic so it can get more air :)

A complete compression stroke is made in half the time of your 450, so it just stands to reason power is made quicker.

I have a 17 250sx and prior to that an 06 YZ250, I didn't think you could get anything better than the YZ until I got my KTM. Both are amazing bikes but two different animals, I agree 100% with how you describe them. I have never owned a 450 but I've gotten a few opportunities to ride them and I've never been impressed with how much more the 450's have over the 250 2 strokes especially the 17+ KTM/Husky motors.

Zach I had an 84 WR400 an she was a beast!! It ran right with my 85 model honda CR500... An my husqvarna had a super smooth power band an was very controllable... I could put thru the woods... Or if was playing on a track.... If I wanted power all I had to do was twist the throttle... So why should there newer bikes be any different... Literally run against your buddy on your yz an your 450 an switch from one to the other an that will give ya a good idea of power an handling differences...

Have both tc250 05 n a wr250f 04 ..both super bike ..and a KTM 300exc 2 smoker..for the really tight n tough stuff but gotta say the maintenance on Yamaha can't be beat

Wish I saw this when the video was new, I'm sure you've found this out by now, but you adjust the power valve to give a more gnarly power band or a softer power band, in other words you can make it hit alot more like a yz250

I’m pretty sure you know this but this is a low to mid engine an does it quick the yz250 is a mid to top an revs just a bit farther also the power comes in a lot different because how the yz doesn’t have that power value type system that the husq has, but have you ever adjusted the power value on this I can see this difference from this video an the other on the yz250 I’m not sayin you need to adjust it cause the way the powerband comes on looks fine, but anyways have you ever adjusted it ?

Install the red PV spring and back the PV adjust out to flush then turn in 1 full revolution, that's where I run my 300 and all my KTM/Husq 2t's and have found that's where they hit the hardest and the longest. IMO, far more pull than any YZ I've owned..

There is a screw on the side to adjust the power valve it should be all the way in from factory. Screw it almost all the way out and hold on tight it will feel better than the yz and come on strong.

A yz is a different style bike. Made for motoX. Husky, ktm, & gasgas specialize in enduros for tight single track rough terrain. You take a yz on a single track you'll see why no one has 1 for that application.

@@nissan_6828 think about it, if u are enginebreaking, youre not giving it gas and only the gasoline of the idle gets into the cylinder and burns, so if u higher up your idle, more gasoline and more oil gets into the cylinder while engine braking

Mid level weekend warrior, 43, having had FC350 so far and felt good on it. Can anyone comment, if the TC250 power(band) is more or less the same as FC350? I'm planning a new bike soon, TC250 is an option, but I'm afraid, that it is a bit too powerful.I'm not competeing, just having fun over the weekends. I'm 184cm and 83kg.

I’ve never ridden one, but from what I know they’re quite good, they also have settings on how the powerband works or something like that, lets you adjust the hit, but it’ll feel a lot different to a 4 stroke man, as long as you have fun, you should get it

You mentioned the power band is smoother and doesn’t come on until after a turn. Is it possible to swap those bands out for the yz ones? I’m not sure how many bands are in an engine but maybe keep half of the husqvarna ones in and the other half use Yamahas power bands? My neighbor’s cousin has an rm 125 with rm 250 power bands in it. It’s so fast. So maybe you have to keep the same manufacturers power bands.

You can shift without the clutch as long as you’re not on power, but the safest way to play it is at least give the clutch a slight pull when you shift

U can shift up without clutch even engaging but dont shift down without clutch it fucks up your bike so bad and you cant even tell, but yes u can shift up without clutch but dont be giving it throttle but I repeat do not shift down without the clutch

You're comparing an enduro to a motocross bike. That's the difference. Ktm, huskys, & gasgas specialize in enduros made for tight technical terrain. Not wide open track. They make way better trail bikes. Take a yz on a single track with an enduro & itll do nothing but stall.

KTM and Husky specialise in both Motocross and enduro bikes.. SX/TC is Moto.. EXC/TE is enduro. It's a bit odd saying they make much better enduro bikes considering they've won multiple World GP and AMA Motocross/Supercross championships. The difference with the Yz is it hasn't really been updated since 2006.. although they're great bikes (I ride a 17 yz125 at the minute) you can't compare them to the latest KTM/husky.

I don't know one person who has a dirt bike now. when new bikes where around a thousand dollars I knew lots of people who rode and raced.
