@Alison Roth we actually went back and forth on this too and it turns out it can be either "insure" or "ensure" and Top Gun (the movie) uses insure, so that's what we went with.

I have the current Jet 9 RDO, and what I love about it (besides being AWESOME) is that I can swap the fork for a 120 stepcast, throw on a light wheelset and hit the XC races. If I’m trail riding I have a 140 fork and enduro wheelset. My concern with the geometry update is that I’d lose some of the XC handling.

I test rode a Jet about 4 or 5 years ago. It was my first true experience on a full-suspension bike and I really loved it. I did not end up buying it then, nor do I own one now, but it was a fun bike to ride. Also, I think your performance on the Niner ad is Oscar-worthy.

so the new jet 9 RDO has a better ride than the old model geometry. I own a 2020 model 2 star. and i love the ride and the handling of it. i can imagine if i ride the new jet 9 RDO what ride difference Im gonna expect on it. thanks for sharing. Pedal Damn It.

you and Shawn Neer should shred LHOHV together sometime. DLR looks even steeper than typical LH trails like 842 and Bon Scott, both of which are about the steepest trails I've ever ridden.

I've got a 2015 jet rdo. What a great bike. Comfortable and fast. Still gets alot of stares. Not many people know what it is. Everyone wants a Trek, Santa Cruz or a Specialized. Anyway, I was looking on the niner site for prices and when I could buy one and the only answer I found was "out of stock". For the rest of the year. Til past December. What the hell??? Even the $10500 5 star build. All sizes. So I guess I'll have the 21 model in 23. Maybe it'll be on sale by then.

Yeah, like most of the industry, things have been backed up and impossible to keep in stock. From what I've heard, it shouldn't be that long, so keep checking (or check with a Niner dealer and see if they can pre-order you one 😉)!

How do you like the Aggaro/Barzo combination? Just picked that up because I wanted something slightly lighter and faster rolling than my current DHF/DHRII combo, haven't installed them yet. Great to have a Jet with updated geo, now I'm just hoping Niner works on a longer and slacker steel hardtail so I can retire my Ros 9.

The Agarro/Barzo combo is great. Definitely the go to for trail/light Enduro/rough XC stuff!

i'm installing a mount for a stages cycling computer and was wondering if you need a spacer to protect 35mm carbon bars.

Nope. The spacer is just for the smaller bars because otherwise the mount is too loose.
