Looks like @89yamaha needs to head north for an ovation shootout lol. My sons 340 will bury the speedo but i think its the change in drivers to the 2.52 pitch makes it read high. It does manage exactly 70mph (on ice and a long run). Congrates on the swap...the 485 sounds great. Love the classic yamaha content.

Had many 340 ovations for a rental operation. . Probably one of the most reliable sled Yamaha ever built.. the only issue I ever had is the oil pumps would go out around 10k miles.

You'll peg the needle on it. I can get my old 91 Venture over 110 on the dial and its a lot heavier than that with no pipe. Sweet little rocket!
