I do like the s1000R more than the v4s to be honest. That flat bar is so sexy on it!

Hi Bill,, I also own an S1000R and love it, been thinking about changing to a 16T front sprocket, prepared to loose some top end but ideally want a bit more grunt in 2nd 3rd 4th when coming out of corners or overtaking.. The internet is full of opinions and I completely understand the theory but would really appreciate some real life feedback from someone that actually made the change on the same bike. What were your thoughts, for mainly highway riding did you feel that it was a beneficial change... Thanks

Nice! Who makes the sprocket? Is it the same as the gen3 RR?

Will you be doing a speedohealer to correct the speedometer or just guessing your speed on the street?
@CaliMotoTV3 жыл бұрын
Will just be guessing lol 😂

Won’t need to. Speed is measured by wheel sensor not sprocket like others

@@Chris-Brauch @CaliMotoTV Poised to order mine. Any speedo drama or still accurate? A calculator I found says the bike should gain 5.9% torque and lose the same percentage in wheelspeed.

Love this bike. I have it, too... and congrats to the channel and contents. I like them very much. Did you just apply tape on the headlights or did you unplug or somehow switch off the headlights? Greetings from Berlin

It's vinyl wrap! Congrats on the s1000r

That is a night and day difference coming out of those corners, just the type of speed needed to drive out of those transitions.

At times it was hard to see where the track went it was so dusty ! Good job explaining the sockets, I know it’s basic stuff but I wouldn’t like to explain anything technical whilst on track ! My only issue with the RR is two too many cylinders!! 🇬🇧🏍

buy another chain if going back to higher gears again. Q, if then one wants low gears again, what, save the chain, have two gear sets and chains or buy new each race
@CaliMotoTV2 жыл бұрын
Minor gearing changes can be done on the same chain.

Of course it produces more HP at the wheel. If you have more RPM at the same speed in any gear and power increases with RPM you will have more horsepower at the wheel. Why do you think you have a better drive out of the turns? Ex: If you were out the turn in 3rd hear at 6000 at 80 mph before and now you're coming out of the same turn at 6300 at 80 mph you will have more horsepower at the wheel, plus smaller sprocket ( less mass ) is easier to rotate than a bigger one for the engine.

It's not just RPM, a smaller circle produces more torque. That's just physics.
@spoonman732 жыл бұрын
@@lordgibbness I understand that. Smaller sprocket at the front or bigger sprocket at the rear, same effect.

I'm debating it myself. I did it on my 07 R1 and it definitely made it pop up easier but felt like it had more power which i liked. Knocks of your top speed but who needs to do over 150+ anyway.
