A great example of how consistency beats out "being fast". You can set the quickest time of the session, but if you fly off the track every 3 laps, it means nothing. Keep it up

Good job being consistent and patient, this is what LFM is all about, particularly the rookie series but even beyond tbh. Btw you wanna make sure you're not resting your foot on the brakes, sometimes you give a slight bit of input on the straights. You also often seem to get on the brakes just slightly in anticipation before fully slamming them - probably not a big deal but make sure you don't develop any bad muscle memory. Otherwise nice braking technique tho.

Well done. Try to adjust tyre pressures. Yours were a bit too high, ideal around 30psi for wets. You can see that on the middle part of the tyre app where tyres looks like they're bulging.
@BradleySettersMotorsport3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! By chance would you know what the wet preset is loaded for in terms of track temp? Just to reference how much adjustment I would need if thrown into a session like this again.
@donjoe26613 ай бұрын
@@BradleySettersMotorsport It all depends on air and especially track temps. Thats why you should do about 2 to 3 laps and check your pressures. If a wet tyre has for instance 30.7 you go to settings and lower that tyre by 7 clicks so you'll have 30psi when they're hot. Thats why when saving a setup with all tyres at 27psi for dry, add the track temp because the same pressures won't be good anymore on a hotter or colder track. Try to keep all 4 corners within 0.2 or 0.3 max. Better a bit lower than ideal temps than too high.

The first season I did in LFM I decided to participate in both 25 and 45 min races. My biggest fail was at the Nurburgring with the race starting off wet then drying out then raining again after the pit stop! I qualified 2nd in the wet qualifying session! I noticed that the rain was stopping in 5 min so I decided to start the race on Slicks even though I knew I was going to struggle thru the first 2 laps! I started off the race in 2nd and dropped back to 5th after the first 4 turns.. I just kept the pace steady knowing they were all on Wet tires and I was on Slicks! As the track dried out their tires over heated and my tires came up to temps. After the 7 laps I'm leading the race! By the time I Pit I'm leading by a good 10-12 seconds!! Unfortunately I made a critical error! I didn't take enough fuel to go 1 more lap meaning I had to pit a lap early and put on wet tires in dry conditions as the rain was coming AGAIN! unfortunately my tires were overheating like crazy by the end of my out lap and half way thru the next untill it started raining! I led the race from lap 7 to the last lap where my wet tires were shot from overheating after the pit stop! I gave away a 10 second lead in the final 2 laps in the wet! 😂 I ended up doing the race again since I knew what strategy was required! After 8 laps I'm a good 8 seconds a head of everyone and it's looking great! I had the perfect strategy! I take the first sector perfectly and start the 2nd sector off great.. down the hill around the bend back up for the high speed left and set up perfect for the left and right before the back str8! I take the left perfectly and swing out left to take the right and my left rear tire clips the grass and I again blow a several second lead 😂 I missed a few weeks but overall I won 7 of 13 races with 2 disconnects. One I was 2nd with 2 laps and one I was leading about half way thru the race when my GF blew the circuit breaker 😂. Those disconnects killed my ELO! About 2/3 thru the season they bumped me up into the next class with much faster drivers.. I have a short for the Nurburgring and Valencia for season 2
