Kid articulates well and sounds mature. Reason Knicks bought him in for couple of days to try him out and probably saw something no one else saw. Coaching staff probably came away interested. Inexpensive pick as backup and does not break Knicks bank. He is very eager, excited and enthuse. Could be a Garden fav in future

It’s a very smart move. This kid won’t be ready to play for couple of years and developing through the current team and players. And in those couple of years is when the team will need him more as Knicks contracts end and players get older. Same as what the Warriors did/doing with Kuminga.

When I heard the Knicks were drafting a Frenchman I got nervous because they don't have a very good track record with French players (Frank Ntilikina and Frédéric Weis). But after hearing Pacome talk I can see he has that swagger and confidence. I just hope the Knicks bring him over next year because that's another thing they have trouble with.

Put him on now. A great player that can spread the floor. Teams wait to long to play rookies with starters knowing that this is the best way to build up your rookie confidence. If you can shoot you can play.

Unless you have the top 5 picks, anywhere lower than those then picking European players is a good strategy. They played more professional games over there at a young age, they are better trained in fundamentals and team work. They will be easier to assimilate to any team's philosophy and style of play. Knicks made 3 good draft choices with promising talents, plus they free up some money for signing iHart, I hope he will be back. Knicks also pick up a bunch of 2nd round picks, there were plenty Hall of Famers who were 2nd round picks throughout NBA history.
