we call those foil meals "hobo dinners" great for camping just toss in your choice of meat veggies and seasonings with some olive oil. Taste great on a cold night.

My favorite camping food. Foil packet meals!! I use chicken with broccoli, carrots and cauliflower with cream of broccoli soup. Lots of spice. Any meat any vegetables ,potatoes rice or noodles any cream of……. I try to load one meal per foil packet. I hope to see you try more of these !!

Just spent 2, two, lol…nights truck camping in the back of my 2006 Four Runner. 1st night down to 27*, 28* F. 2nd night, woke up in Vega, Texas and it was 22*F in the AM. Dog sleeps in the driver’s seat w my big coat over her. I’m in the back watching YT staying warm mostly with my Jackery 500 running an uber cheap electric blanket inside a 40 year old sleeping bag. But I’ve been OK @ sub zero F by using my butane stove intermittently. I built a Bob Wells heat shiel w aluminum foil and a coat hanger so I don’t fry. Works fine but this trip I learned: sleep w butane cans in your sleeping bag. They cut off if they get too cold. Sub 0*F is totally doable but you gotta be careful in the mountains where I’m at now…7300. It has remained 10*F ALL day. Glad I made it to my cabin! Snowed 6” last night. I love these vids Dude. Especially what you’re doing right now. No way to do much cooking inside. My rig is 4WD so a small travel trailer is in my future :-)

Yay for snow. I'm in high desert mountains of Calif. I noticed today in town ( Ridgecrest) that our snow Geese were here. There used to really be a lake in China Lake so the Geese still migrate here yearly. Today they were here everywhere and the poor things looked wiped out!! Winter is here. It's cold...brrrrr! Hey Quady, I think it’s time you invest in disposable foil trays that come with covers if you’re going to be putting food directly on the fire. That way you’re self-assured that it will cook properly, there’ll be no leaks and like I said they’re disposable and come in a variety of sizes. You can find them at Dollar Store and in a variety of stores.

If you can,try small potatoes cut in chunks, ground beef, corn and can diced tomatoes with slap ya mama. We eat with pieces of tortilla as our utensil. Great video as usual! Thanks keep them coming!

There's a recipe that calls for any meat, carrots, green beans, corn, mushrooms and cream of mushroom soup which is amazing. Put it on a Tortilla yea. Spread the soup around.

We spent our last trip of the season at this lake a few weeks ago. We are about 30 miles south and this place is my go to spot to get away, we hit it 8 -10 times a year. Quiet and very nice, fishing is hit and miss. Only downfall for us, there is no dump station but if that helps keep the crowd down then i will never complain. I stay in the north campground if at all possible, no hookups and decent shade. I would imagine the gate was closed to this area by now?
