It seems really low resolution also? If I caught it right they are only picking up four points on that pulley. I could be totally wrong but wouldn't it be similar to setting up traction control using ABS trigger wheels that having more teeth gives the ECU higher resolution and can be tuned much better?

Could be as simple as grinding the tops of those teeth flat. Could use the lathe to grind them and make sure it's all even.

Seeing that old lathe, makes me miss the good ol days when I was making my own suspension past. I could never afford pre-made and my grandfather always taught me I could make parts better than everyone else could buy. I ran a 4cyl open wheel car, with a homemade chassis on circle tracks. Brent probably doesn't remember, but I got to talk to him about my car at the last cleetus and cars before covid hit.

I’m a loner by nature, without my wife and kids I’d live remote and only go to town when I had to but I would still enjoy the conversation with strangers and find something to volunteer with!

After the first video, I had to find out if the 77 civic I had years ago was still at the salvage yard I sold it too(he does still have my dads blown up 84 GMC dually from 20 years ago, so its possible). 77 civic cvcc with a 79 accord 1751cc motor. I wanted so badly to swap in a d series 1.6 and 5 speed from a 90s civic. But I was 14.....and it was just dreams at that point.

A first gen crx and some part out civics might bring you to a similar goal for a lot cheaper these days. Most people don't want the first gen ones, parts don't exist, and they can be found cheap.

Hey brent i think you need to make a bracket for the crank sensor that monts onlt the the engine block. That engine is moving around so much and the one end is mounted to the engine mount on the frame , so its pulling away from the crank pulky when the engine bounces. If its mounted firmly just to the blick it will bounce withe the crank pully and i believe it mught clean up that signal. I had similar issues in a build of mine,and that solved my problems. Just figured i would give you my opinion. I hope you read this and get it figured out. Good luck brother

🐸 We have a Frog here in Aledo, Illinois. Every 4th of July, morning in central park, you should look it up. It's fun... "Doctor Ford Frog Race"... We give them names and have brackets with age groups usually several heats young and old have fun racing them! You can bring your own or rent one. They start in the center of a big circle and 1st get out of a big circle wins! Maybe you could start the same thing out there with toads LOL It would be Toad-ally Awesome! 😂 ❤ I'm real glad you're getting your little N600 running. I've been following it, I've been having a hard time getting my comments to work.I think I did just finally got it... Wish you could have gotten it going for the 4th of July. I've been thinking maybe you should be using something out of a motorcycle 2 cylinder or something for timing. But looks like you're getting that there. That's pretty sick... I always wanted either that car or the Honda beat and put a VFR800 in it with a Suzuki samari rear axle. I wanted to convert the chain sprocket to a drive shaft flange... That car is looking promising though and you converting it to fuel injected is going to make that car very fuel efficient then it already is... Love your channel, keep it up.

@@LearningWithTitus Sadly, it's the early Pi head casting failure that will eventually fail again and again. I replaced with a 2011 CVPI motor and haven't had any issues

I think the fuel pump is trying to pull more fuel than the bolt/hose can provide. Or it is pressurizing the injector more than 45 psi, probably close to 55-60 psi.

Maybe mount the sensor to the engine so when the engine vibrates the sensor moves with the engine? I cant tell how much of the trigger you are actually lined up on. Progress!

The crank trigger needs to be mounted to the engine so it gets an accurate reading the frame of the car isn’t bouncing with the engine

Oh yeah! Might help making a much more solid mount for the crank sensor. Is the engine 180 degree firing order like motorcycle engines? Does the FuelTech have support for that? If it can be done real proper then a tiny kei car turbo won't be too far out! Might resurrect some interest in that engine, aftermarket parts!? As for engine swaps it might be easier to put in a shaft drive engine, like one from the V-Max. ~130bhp should be more than enough. For the meantime, it would be fun seeing the little 600 climb up the rocky mountains!

Crank trigger sensor needs to only be mounted to the block as the engine is moving and the chassis isnt probably causing it to vibrate inside try that maybe ?
