The exact same issue I had when starting an 88 GT that had been sitting for about 10 years. After changing the tank, fuel pump and fuel filter with no luck, I finally removed one side of injectors and checked to see if they were working. Only 2 of them were barely working at all...the others were completely blocked. Fix was easy though, just removed all the injectors and hooked each one up to the battery to manually pulse them while running brake cleaner through. Worked like a charm and fired right up after reinstallation, just like yours did!

@mitchdenner97435 жыл бұрын
Its kind of hard to keep up on the maintenance when your dead.
@carstuff4u9425 жыл бұрын
mitch denner my point was before the person died they could have cared for it more. Or family members or someone!
@mitchdenner97435 жыл бұрын
@@carstuff4u942 sometimes taking care of a dying family member is top priority and other things fall to the way side. Thats just how it is. My father was a stickler for maintenance on his vehicles and things he owned and when I had to fly out to Wyoming last year to take care of him before he died I found he had neglected a lot of things I was surprised to see. I guess its hard to muster up the energy to get things done when you've been poisoned with chemotherapy for over 10 years fighting leukemia. At a certain point you just give up and want to die.
@carstuff4u9425 жыл бұрын
mitch denner I bet so. Anyone can still sell the car if not being used. That cash could go a long way towards medical care. And sell it before it goes to pot.....

@@BullyGovJ4F7775 the objective was not to get it back on the road . he clearly stated the only purpose was to get it back up and running. It wasnt even a for sure thing. It was just a try to get it going. More than likely everything will b replaced and rebuilt into a more modern type build. And half that crab is going to replace during the build.
