Just wondering what happened with this build? Interest roused again with the Dan Reynolds win against Steve Henry at the recent Texas STOL (Gainsville). Steve had the takeoff every time, but Dan landed shorter for the win!!!

What would you say the total weight of the engine and prop is with, and without the mount. Great video presentation by the way!

Thinking about building one of these probably just stick with the 2 stroke. Only thing I don't like is the engine being right behind the passenger in the event of a crash that weight is going to push forward right into the cockpit hopefully it flips over instead.

Quite close but I must be honest that I’ve used the backlog to take a break and deal with a lot of life things that have come up. With a little luck I’ll be on it by this winter while the weather is good in Texas.

Why use 2 fuel pumps? My university's team has gotten our engine into starting condition (not an easy engine to figure out) but just need to figure out how to get it to start.

I’m curious what you used for battery isolation? Didn’t see a solenoid.

I used relays for the avionics and engine and a solenoid for the starter.

I thought that gearbox wasn't good for pushers, the one from bkexperimental doesn't put the prop up so high.

Pushers are in compression, better than a puller ! The unit on Ian's plane is a gearbox, the one from Ben is a engine adapter for Rotax gearbox.
