FIRST START UP of my ALUMINUM ROD 700HP 4g63 Eclipse GSX build PT5

FINALLY PT5! After building my 4G63 eclipse gsx motor in 1 week, its finally ready for the FIRST start up. The entire "Eclipse gsx build playlist" was made in 1 week containing everything from start to finish.
Engine build: Wiseco 1400hd pistons, R&R aluminum rods, stock oem crankshaft, acl tri metal bearings, L19 head studs, felpro permatorque head gasket, Gsc S3 cams, ss valves beehive springs, Kingly HLA, HX40 6767 45 lbs of boost on C16! More videos to come. enjoy :D

I made two big screw ups on my first 4g63 rebuild, damaged a piston ring on #1 during installation and not checking that the balance shaft bearings were still the way I left them. My engine made it 10k miles before cylinder #1 lost compression but thankfully I never damaged any lower end components without having the balance shaft bearings spun to block the passages.

Nice man keep the car cuz there aint alot of peeps with our cars around anymore there scarce around here in the upper midwest/western wisconsin its kinda sad going from seeing them all the time in my teens now 20 years later far and few... I,m just starting to paint the engine bay and clean up some of the wiring, just rebuilt it nothing special, even new under the hood is a mess but by spring my 98 gst spyder will have 450whp and crusing the streets once again.....

The rad is from a 98 vw golf. It fits pretty tight but gota get rid of the ac condenser.

Found your channel yesterday. Started watching all your eclipse videos. I have a 2g I’m building up. Maybe I’ll start posting videos on it one day. What intercooler are you running and core thickness?look like ETS or VRSF I’m wanting to run ETS with probably 4” core but still want to try and fit a front crash beam even if it’s a custom chromoly one.

It's an ets knockoff. Think the core is about 3". It works really well and intake temps stay pretty low. Make some videos what like to see what you got goin on!

Great progress dude! Shame you can't run the exhaust that way normally, because it's too loud of course. Just weld a entire muffler on the end and cops won't even know it's modified.

I only have my logs on dsmlink and airflow..however it's a t4 twin scroll with a 1.0 ar housing. I see 45 lbs of boost around 6200. Slow as hell to spool but hits like a train :D

Congrats man! Just a fare warning i would never use your impact or electric tools on sparks plugs, well i dont know the odds of it happening but in my aunts kia, my uncle broke the spark plug quarts using a impact and the quarts feel into the motor and has been sounding like a TICKING time bomb since it has happened, car tics/knocks like crazy

Thank you. I agree should never use impacts on spark plugs. The electric ratchet dosnt put out more then 20-30lbs. Funny story...12 years ago I torque a spark plugs in my old gst to 45lbs and snapped it off in the head hahaha. Good days

Where are you buying that oil cooler kit from ? Looking to run it also. I experienced a rod bearing failure on my 97 gst. Also wheres a good place to buy the harmonic balancer you were taking about ??, good video bro!
