If you love Albions the most, you haven't had Petalumas.

No but we have been on the strawberry business for over 30 years and Albion is the perfect variety for our customers... I love strawberries all varieties but as I said Albion Is my favorite...
@bradcarby37653 жыл бұрын
@@joseacuiriz Can you be a strawberry racist? Flavour notwithstanding, we grew Albions last year and they just didn't produce. Our other farm in a colder part of Australia did well with Albions. We did better with other varieties.

Thank you for sharing your journey! I had hoped to have a high tunnel full of strawberries this year but the high tunnel didn't come through. I look forward to seeing how your experience compares with the varieties you have going in the tunnels. Abion is the one everybody talks about but I've heard good things about Radiance and Chandler as high tunnel strawberries. Again, thank you for sharing! It encourages those of us who haven't gotten as far yet. Blessings!

Lovely looking strawberries can’t remember when I had a real nice big juicy one. I’ve just pulled my strawberries up and potted up the runners hopefully they’ll pick up so I can pit them out and see what I get cheers 🍻

Very nice and I hope you get a good pick on the field strawberries. Are you going to grow more in high tunnels in the coming years? If you are making anything in the bakery with strawberries I'm coming over.

Exactly what I was curious about. So glad to see the high tunnels doing well. I have so many questions, but here is one that I am really curious about. When these plants are done producing are you going to till them under and start new? Can you keep the plants for more than 1 season? I would assume that the yield would go way down in year 2? Is there another crop that you could rotate after the strawberries are done? Thanks so much for making these videos. I watch them numerous times for reference. I still would love a strawberry youtube playlist if you ever made one.

Been following your vids...great information. Where did you purchase the high tunnel for your strawberries.

Hey I love watching your videos. Im soon heading back to the Geneva area to start apples with my family's current farm. I've also been interested in growing tomatos and strawberries in a high tunnel and was wondering what your current feelings are about it, in reguards to cost of operation vs increased yealds?

Beautiful plants, how do you pollinate them?
@heatherhorton97173 жыл бұрын
I would leave the ones that still have yellow on the top for a little longer on the plant. I am from CA. We have a lot of strawberries grown in our area.

Your strawberries look amazing! What is day neutral variety? Thanks for the great job!
@KCautodoctor3 жыл бұрын
Day-neutral refers to the light sensitivity of the variety. Day-neutral strawberries will blossom and set fruit no matter how long or short the days are.

let them ripe more, at least one or two days more, is not good what you do, firstly for yourself and for the client, in Romania if i do what you do , i loose all my clients , just a friendly advice. Good job for the work till harvest though ! in Romania , ce vinzi tu aici se cheama ''castraveti'.
@chadmoore93363 жыл бұрын
Picking to green. Not enough red covering. Strawberries stop ripening after picking.
@bradcarby37653 жыл бұрын
No they don't. We pick them 30% white for export so they are fully red when they arrive at destination. Taste shit, but that's not the point.
