I think it's one of the best I've seen a lot of LiSA's performances in the sense of simply singing a song. I'm Japanese and a longtime fan of her, but I was surprised at this performance that she was such a deep and beautiful expressive singer. As a Japanese fan, I'm just happy that her song has reached the hearts of many people around the world.

LiSA's 炎 (homura) and Queen Bee's 火炎 (kaen) are my favorite First Take performances. And both songs have fire in their names. 😅

All the main characters in this anime have super special breathing techniques and skills based on breath, like water breathing, fire breathing, love breathing, sand breathing, etc. In that sense, LISA used her breath a lot on purpose to match the song with The Demon Slayer by adopting a singing breathing technique in her song , I believe.haha

Almost right before Lisa did music for Demon Slayer, she was about to retire. The Japanese are all about perfection, and she had one little voice mess-up and was booed by assholes off stage. She was so upset and felt she should retire anyway. Then we're blessed with her lovely voice for the Demon Slayer series. Lisa is amazing and I'm so glad she kept going!

The breath is 1. Part of the Demon slayer story. And 2 the MC is crying so the breaths are to convey that gasp in your voice as you cry out

As a reminder, and to highlight this stunning vocal performance, the only rule with the recording session at "The First Take": you only have one take. 😲 So impressive. The nose on the pop filter is like a connection to the music as i like to think of it. But a funnier response is that her eyes are closed so it makes sure she doesn't go to far away or close to the mic, a reference point if you will.
