i don't think you can narrow it down to just 4. it's a generational list. the '60s premier player was Wilt, the '70s it was Kareem, the '80s it was Bird & Magic (who saved the NBA), the '90s was Jordan, the '00s was Shaq & Kobe, and the '10s is LeBron. those are the 8 best/most important players in NBA history. obviously Jordan was the greatest but i don't really think it's possible to fairly order them after that.

No it's because that was the GREASTEST LAKERS - and LeBron is only in his second season with the Lakers. That wasn't an all time ranking, that was a starting lineup based on what they've done for the LAKERS. I don't think LeBron can break that starting five simply because each of those players played 8 plus years as first team all nba MVP caliber players. LeBron only has 2 - 3 seasons of MVP level basketball ahead of him
