One is the reflection in the utilization of Ebonics appropriation through the establishment of an alternative word post-Civil War tensions, the other has actual context and derivation predating the existence of any slave trade of Africans in the United States or American Colonies. Black or White, if you are born within the US, you are an American first, just be an American. Stop segregating yourselves by tagging on unnecessary monikers such as African, Asian or Caucasian to your national origin. Only together can we never be divided. Regardless, upon this planet we are all Earthlings. First and foremost, educate yourselves, never expect any school system to provide any true and righteous background for any historical accuracy when the history books are only written by the victors.
