Just visited Taipei recently. It is the most peaceful place I've ever been to. Locals are so friendly and it is so easy to travel around. Love the weather and the food. Truly a hidden gem

I visited Taiwan last year, December and yes, I super agree. The Taiwanese people are super friendly!! They go above and beyond to help you, as in! Someday, I’d like to explore more of Taichung and would love to visit Kaoshing, because of this vlog! You create great contents. I saw your Blog and it’s amazing! Love your vlogs too!

not only Kaohsiung's food and the people deserve you to come around , by far we had a greatest mayor of Taiwan Kaohsiung in 2018, guess what ? he will be our next president of R.O.C on Jan in 2020 without the shadow of the doubt .

I'm so happy you guys love Taiwan! We were pleasantly surprised as well when we went a couple of years ago. It's really underrated but amazing! I'm not sure if you're able, but definitely recommend Taroko National Park - it's just beautiful.

we just got back from kaohsiung last weekend and could not get over how friendly the people were, they made our trip. So so wonderful!! great video guys. we want to go back to taiwan for sure!

My husband is from Kaohsiung! I love Taiwan so much! This trip seems really well planned and locals seem to be suggesting all the best things to eat as well! It looks like you will be going to the night market in the next video which is wonderful. I personally also love the art tea houses drinking gong fu tea, Taiwanese bakeries, stinky tofu, and xiao long tang bao or soup dumplings. I hope you fall in love with Taiwan as much as I have!

Omg that man watching you both with the shaved ice! I think he was enjoying Jess's love for something that was probably so regular and simple to him as a local. I hope it reinvigorated his love for small things and for his own food and culture. I love seeing tourists in my own country enjoying things that I would normally just pass by on my way to work... Helps keep me grounded and continuously thankful. Thanks for the great video! 😘

That guy across the table during the shaved ice reallyyyyy wanted to hang out with you two hahahaha That Buddhist temple was spectacular looking! The very ornate pagodas in sequence up to the large golden Buddha, amazing :)

Welcome everyone to here! By the way, Kaohsiung’s breakfast like eating quiche(蛋餅) or rice balls(飯糰) more than soy milk or fritters! Very recommended trying! 蛋餅: Eggs, flour, shallots, and more delicious ingredients 飯糰: Rice, and more delicious ingredients 鍋燒意麵 (Guō shāo yì miàn): The noodles that can be bought at the Kaohsiung breakfast shop.

Please do not miss the beef noodle, the onion pancake and the Ding Tai Fung Xiao Lung Bao/steam soup dumplings! Must haves or you have not been to Taiwan!

Ding Tai Fung seems overrated here in the States, and generally overpriced? Maybe it's more reasonable back in Taiwan?

Tango Vagabond things are ALWAYS better where they originate. Mexican food better in Mexico, Chinese food better in China, and then I bet Taiwanese food is better in Taiwan

Taiwan is such a beautiful country, been there thrice last year and every visit was absolutely amazing. Made quite a few Taiwanese friends as they were truly friendly, the food is awesome. I also had an encounter with a friendly Uber driver and I can’t wait to go back there. Just thinking were to go next perhaps something off the beaten path as I have visited Kaohsiung, Taichung, Taipei and all other popular destination in the north. Lots of love from Manila :)

I've been to many countries before, I still think Taiwan & Japan are equally awesome countries. Except, its more expensive in Japan. Therefore, I also think Taiwan is perhaps the # place to visit in the world. Great video... Awesome :)
