Good video. You two really seem like nice people. We need to take this cruise again because we took the last tender over to the island and vendors were packing up. We did not even see the buffet or any of that, so this video really lets me know to go over in the morning to get the whole experience. Thanks a lot! This video was not a waste of time. I often go to the beach on Christmas Day as I vist family in Australia. Never had fruit kababs but had veggie kababs. It looks an awesome island. A lettuce bun burger.

I wanted to say thank you for the suggestion on items that I bought. The water shoes you suggested were super comfortable. I wore them on my recent trip to Great Stirrup key thankfully. Also, I purchased the eagle 4k you suggested. Great camera for me and inexpensive since I do not use mine enough to warrant a GoPro purchase. Lastly, I bought the snorkel mask you suggested. I very highly recommend it!!!!!!! No water seeped in and my snorkeling in Cozumel was awesome with the mask. Keep the product reviews coming. :)

My wife and I have been on Keto for 18 months. She lost 50 lbs and I lost 70 lbs. our next cruise is end of Nov 2021. We should be a goal well before then. Tell Jason, proud of him. Information about tendering, the boat called little Norway is actually from the cruise ship SS Norway that was an NCL ship. That tender was placed on top in front of the SS Norway, it was a life boat.

In 2013 i believe it was, wife and i were on the Norwegian Pearl and went to GSC. That cruise, that day, was the christening of the Bacardi Bar. The officers from the ship came over and did a ceremony. It was really cool. We have a one of a kind tshirt they gave us from that day for the Bacardi Bar. Looks like the island changed a ton since then

I was at Great Stirrup Cay in August 2018 (my first cruise), with the Gem. I loved that island! The water was so calm & warm - we just floated in the water for hours. I loved the little shops that were right near the entrance too.

Every time I've been to Great Stirrup Cay, they always had food brought to the island. It's nice because every thing on the island is just like on the ship, already included, including the drink package.

I loved this island!! Beach Day!! I've never seen crystal clear water before except for on tv. It was thrilling to be IN the water and be able to see my feet!! (I live where the Long Island Sound is...and that is not water you get into >.< ) If you walk a little further the rock clears and it's softer sand. It doesn't get too deep before it smooths back out. The water was a little chilly though! We love love loved this day!!

You guys were lucky to get to GSC. I read on Cruise Critic that 50% of the time the ships have to forego GSC because the tendering process is too dangerous when the seas are rough. We got re rerouted to Nassau ourselves two weeks ago on out Breakaway cruise. I was so disappointed as we had one of the cabanas rented and had looked forward to a chill beach day like you guys had.

Thanks for sharing. My last cruise we were suppose to go to this island, had a cabana too but the swells where so high the captain cancelled the tenders. Thanks for the tip about the water shoes, I will definitely add them to my pack for any beach day, just in case.

Thank you for posting this video. We have been to Great Stirrup Cay a few times as they continued to make improvements. The beach and chairs are very relaxing, the food and drinks are very good. I am concerned about the number of people reporting that this port is being canceled because the weather makes it difficult to tender there. I thought that recent renovations provided an inland dock sheltered from the weather that made it easier to tender to the island.

We were there this past July and it was beautiful. Yes I understand the rocks in the water. Thank god we all brought water shoes. My daughter did an excursion (swimming with the stingrays) but we mostly chilled on that gorgeous beach.

Been there , it’s super crowded and the(main beach) is small . The bar areas are crowded. Getting back to the beach , lots of people take over the chairs and and are just towel on them . The food areas are good. The walk to the water sports area is kinda long in the grueling heat. Should have a trolley bus going back and forth.

I imagine if you are coming from a Gulf state the Bahamian water is a little cold. Me coming from California, that Bahamian water is nice and the waters of the Gulf are a little too warm...but I go in them anyway.

Carnival provides a lunch buffet free of charge on their island but you have to pay for your drinks.

bit of advice: having been retired since April 2019, enjoy "chill time" as much as you can. Covid screwed up a LOT of my retirement time; we opted for 2 Pfizers and a booster but don't really want to play with masks anymore.

Kina X , we purchased waterproof pouches on Amazon to store our ship ID, drivers license, phone, credit card, & a little cash. They have pouches in all sizes depending on what you want to carry with you.
