You be doing some of that high class hunting! I missed a nice, aggressive bugleing 5x5 on day one in Colorado and everything went silent after that. Subsequently end up dealing with stealth non talking bulls for the rest of the time and ate an expensive paper steak this year...

Awesome vid as always but if you ever come elk hunting again which I hope you do becauses the videos are awesome a multip pin slider like a hha or black gold or something that has 3-5 pins is the best for elk hunting because if you have 3 different ranges 20,30,42 you can draw when you see the elk and not have to worry about moving your sight. Hope you get your bull they are the funnest to hunt

A new 5-gallon bucket with lid, a new toilet plunger, some water, and your favorite hunter's scent free soap will get your clothes fresh. Just cut a hole in the lid a little bigger than the diameter of the plunger handle so you can agitate.. (then air-dry of course) ✌

I can't tell you how discouraged I am with elk hunting. I couldn't get away from people, first week or so it didn't bother me much cuz I had a 6 day hunt planned taking horses up to a drop camp. But, I put in my time. Then I took my trip with my dad which was his first ever elk hunt experience. Not including 8 mile ride in, over the next 5 days I put in over 57 miles. I hunted between 9500-11000' and not only did I not see an elk, I never heard a bugle and still ran into hunters. I dove into the canyons, and climbed the ridges... Nothing. 5 years counting and countless hours, workouts, money, reps shooting, calling and nothing. Honestly, I have no idea what else to do. But... I'll do it again next year with the same high hopes and preparation.
