Hunt Butcher Cook * Pheasant & Snipe Hunting *

I went on a pheasant hunt in Montana and slept in an converted van that I rented from Outdoorsy, an RV rental marketplace similar to an AirBnB! The bird hunting was on fire, even though temperatures were below freezing. After the hunt, I butchered the birds and cooked up a pheasant breast fajitas recipe. They were BOMB. ENJOY!

It’s actually warm for this time of year! It was below -10 two years ago in October!!! I’m from the Belgrade Bozeman area 2hrs west of Billings. I love watching ur content! U are and always be my inspiration I’m a big fan!!! I love that stretch between Billings and Bozeman! I get out there every year or two and meet up with friends who fly peregrine and gyrfalcons for pheasant and duck, and it's always an incredible experience.

That Brittany looked like it was having a blast. They are a tough little bird dog with endless energy and a drive to please. Did the pheasant mostly flush or run, or did the dog have opportunity to point for you, allowing you to watch the magic of a pointer? Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Great hunt Allie and another great video! Look At the the two shots you took at the 9:20 mark and you''ll see your cheek isn't making contact with the stock. Bury that cheek on the stock. Not trying to be a preachy or anything, but that was hammered into my head when I started shooting clays and it's easy to raise your head in the heat of the hunt.

I would love to get the skins and feathers. I'm a fly fisherman and pheasant tail flies are one of favorites. I could tie a bunch of flies with just one bird. Guess I'll have to find some local bird hunters to get some feathers.

I go shooting and picking up with my cocker spaniel here in the UK. I love the atmosphere and it’s interesting to see how you do things differently across the pond. I just REALLY wish you guys didn’t use collars so much to train your dogs. (I know he’s not your dog) They’re much more frowned upon here than in the US, but I really believe you get a better dog when you do things the “old fashioned way”. The bond between you will be so much stronger and it feels amazing when your training pays off.

Probably not where you grew up in Pittsburgh but above I80 I have bird hunted many times in the snow late October through December does make it a bit more special something about a crisp day in the snow flushing pheasant

I lived in Bozeman. Montana bird hunting is crazy good. So much so I couldn’t get it all in. Very frustrating. I had a chocolate lab that was an awesome bird dog. I always knew when to slip the safety off. Nice video. NOT a 28 fan for roosters!!

I bet sous vide pheasant would be so good, I’m working on an air shotgun for Upland bird hunting, I have a .357 300ftpound rifle that I am going to convert into a 50 caliber and change the valve so it has 700+foot pounds of energy, with tungsten bird shot or even steel or lead this thing will be a beast!

You can kill birds to 50 yds with a 28 ga. I have done it to about 55yds. I had open chokes in mine. For Montana I would use mod and full

I love nuggets, cut the breast into nuggets, then flour, ( make sure to put the spices you like in the flour) then put the floured nuggets in buttermilk, then back in the seasoned flour.. Fry until golden brown, remove and put on paper towels... So, so good... Spices I like are. Cracked pepper Garlic powder Onion powder Salt Rosemary Thyme... It's really good with a mustard dipping sauce. Yellow mustard or the mustard you like more. Sour cream Cracked pepper Smoked paprika Diced green onion. I do everything to taste, I never measure. ( sorry )

@@OutdoorsAllie you can do nuggets with grouse and Turkey. With Turkey, I like a Cranberry dipping sause. Cranberry jelly Sour cream ( Daisy only ) Cream cheese.. Soften Cream cheese add sour cream, mix well, then add Cranberry too Taist. You can add red pepper flakes if you want a zip of heat.
