I met the lead singer, Brian Johnson, before my very first AC/DC concert back in 1996. The band was staying in our hotel and I met Brian at the hotel bar about 90 mins before the concert. NICEST guy on earth! He signed my poster and planted a big kiss on my cheek. Got a picture of us together right after he planted that kiss. He's very gracious and thankful to his fans - the whole band is like that. No egos at all.

That's awesome. I read a story about how after a gig one night Brian went into his hotel room and heard a noise coming from the closet. Some kid had somehow broke into his room and hid in the closet just to get a chance to meet him. He had been in there since right after Brian left for the show hours earlier. Brian ordered room service for him so he could eat, and hung out with him all night.

Thanks guys! HELLS BELLS was the introduction of Brian Johnson as AC/DC's new singer, following Bon Scott's untimely death. He hit the ground running. You don't replace Bon Scott, you replace a lead singer. I often refer to BACK IN BLACK as a debut album since it IS Brian's introduction. For Asia, Bon Scott had one of those voices that you could never forget. Listen to DIRTY DEEDS DONE DIRT CHEAP and you'll understand. Brian Johnson is definitely cut from the same cloth.

Our seats were to the side of the stage so we could see all the stage crew members scrabbling to fix it. It was a cool thing to see like 20 people scrambling all over the place, and the band didn’t skip a beat, just kept rocking out!

This song is about struggles to make the album. They had toured 6 years straight trying to make it out of Australia, then conquer Europe and finally got a record deal in USA. After going gold their singer died (RIP Bon Scott). So record co thought the Bahamas for a working vacation would give them a break. Then a Hurricane hit and machete wielding serial killer roamed the island. Back in Black the tribute to Bon & You shook me all night long are great songs from this album. Thunderstruck & a newer song Black Ice are great songs with Brian. Highway to Hell & TNT are starters for Bon Scott.

My late PIC had just got his 1980 Virgin White Ford Thunderbird with crimson upholstery. "Back in Black" had just been released, we drove 40 miles to get the cassette out in a desert mall. I shoved the cassette into the player not knowing what to expect but hoping it would come close to "Highway to Hell", AC/DC's previous album. From the first sound of the bell ringing, the very first, my partner Louis and my other partner Mike each looked at me as I looked at them and we each said "F!@#" , and we knew we were in for an insane and glorious experience. And then we heard "Shoot to Thrill", holy crap what a 1-2 punch to start an album. It was a magic moment that I can still see in my head. RIP my brother Louis.

Here’s a quick summary from the bands history. They have the second best selling album of all time, lo and behold back in black, they are originated in Sydney Australia but Malcolm and Angus the brothers who created the band are actually from Scotland. Anyway they had 2 lead singers before this guy (Brian Johnson) came in right after the tragic death of the great singer Bon Scott. They have held the record of being pretty much the forefathers of rock ‘n’ roll, and have to this day sold over 200,000,000+ albums world wide. In 2017 Malcolm Young passed away from dementia, he is the guy that is behind the white guitar that is pretty much the same size as he is. But he was a crucial part of the band. He is a crucial part of Rock history. If you get into rock music you definitely have to get into these guys. And I am sure at some point in your lives you have heard AC/DC before, everyone has. Their songs are way too popular to not have been heard at least once before in your lives. This song in particular happens to be my favorite one because there’s a story behind it, I was told by a close source to the band, I’m not going to specify the story because then I would betray my friends trust anyway that’s why I love these guys because they are some of the biggest Rockstars in the world yet they don’t have the big heads that some of the big Musicians today do. This band has so much history with it, it is literally its own religion pretty much. Like if rock ‘n’ roll was a religion? These guys would definitely be the king James version of the rock ‘n’ roll Bible. They even created a song called Let There Be Rock. Pretty much basing it off of the book of Genesis. You guys definitely need to check out that song. It had Bon Scott on vocals so he was in the video. It came out in 1977. There is so much more to this band than just who sang the music, it’s just a way of life. And I am glad to have been alive in an era where they made music. They created a new album last year called POWER UP. You guys definitely need to check out the track Demon fire from that album! It is literally the best on that album! Which says a lot because the entire album is pretty damn awesome. Just like all of their albums are you guys will come to discover.

This was the first song on the album Back in Black, which was the first music to be released after the death of Bon Scott. There was quite a long pause after Bon before this album was released. The cover of the album was all black.

The lead singer is Brian Johnson . Angus Young ( the lead guitarist ) and his brother Malcolm Young ( rytham guutar) had started the band in 1973 or 74 and discovered Brian just a few months after Bon Scott (original singer for 3 yrs) died . Brian has been with the Band since 1980 . The first album they put out after Brian started is " Back in Black ! " Wich has a single by the same name that all AC/DC fans must hear ! You also should here " Shook Me All Night Long ", the closest thing to. Love song your gonna get from them ! Plus " For those About to Rock " These are just a few of the songs from their massive catalog !! Plus to top it all off they are still making music and performing !!!

If you still say you have never heard ACDC after the opening riffs of Back In Black then you been living under a rock. Every reactor stops the song and says ohhh i have definitely heard that before all over the place. One of the best live performances you will ever see is ACDC's "Whole Lotta Rosie" live at River Plate

back in the day on tour for this song they brought a 3 ton bell with them and the lead singer would com out with a 20 pound sledge hammer and just wail on that bell with it. the lead singer is brian johnson from scotland even thou the rest of the band is aussie, he is the second lead singer the first bon scott died when drank to much and died on his on sick. but when he was alive the band saw brian playing in a smaller band while they were on tour and he said if i every die that is the guy you need to replace me, so when he did they called him and the rest is history. i have seen them many times in concert and they were one of the greatest live bands in history,

When I first heard this song I was a teen in eighties I thought this song was about war. Like a soldier’s fight the white lightning was fighter jets and only young but your gonna die. No one’s putting up fight. I could imagine all the connections to war.

Brian Johnson is the lead singer. Great singer. Their original lead singer (Bon Scott) died a few months before this album was released and Brian Johnson picked up the gauntled. Johnson is iconic, but Bon Scott is f'ing legend! Absolutely hall of fame. Check out '70s AC/DC with Bon Scott as the singer.
