I like the melody and catchiness of the song. It’s super easy to recall. The thing is that it’s so dramatic that it has a little replay value for me lol

I think part of the reason this blew up (released January 2024) could be it has that awesome build up and release section. In that way it reminds me a little of like a mix between Billie Eilish ‘Happier Than Ever’ and maybe Olivia Rodrigo ‘Drivers License’ (with its bridge). Bensons backstory is kinda interesting also, he successfully made it to the Top 24 of American Idol season 19 (2021) but then withdrew to focus on his career and not be potentially saddled with the ‘as seen on Idol’ tag. Suseqentky signed with Dan Reynolds (Imagine Dragons) label and released his first single ‘Ghost Town’ later that year. With a few eps to follow until his debut album last year (Ghost Town and ‘In The Stars’ also reappeared on). The second single was ‘Slow It Down’ with a video, but one of my favourite tracks was probably ‘Cry’ which he did a lot of TikTok/shorts for but no video for. It’s kinda similar to Beautiful things in chorus but bit more kickier throughout I’d say. ;)
