Hi pepper, cute Kitty. Btw and no joke I have a cat named salt. Great reaction. Tatiana is a goddess, it you watch "perennial" live at Wacken you will understand. My favorite though is "Home Back" music video, very deep song, the band kills it and Tatiana goes lower than Hades in that one

No one does it better. No one. There are other metal singers who can sing higher cleans and there are metal singers who can hit deeper growls and stranger harsh vocals. Very few metal singers who only sing clean have such a rich texture, tone and flexibility between playfulness, sultry and belting in their cleans. Very few metal singers who sing only harsh have such a range between low and banshee highs whole enunciating so well. Maybe a handful of people in metal are as magnetic a frontman as Tati is on stage. No one does a better job of combining all of these traits, switching effortlessly between them, being a poet and a juggernaut of a stage presence. She's a generational type talent. The band is also fantastic at their respective instruments and ultimately Jinjer is more than the sum of their parts. Fantastic band.

The best in metal male or female. What is even crazier about her is watching interviews she is just so timid and kinda shy you would not think that watching her on stage.

Excellent comments, couldn't agree more. I'm a bassist, and Eugene has revolutionized the way I play after 45+ years of playing. But when I see them live, it is very difficult to tear my eyes away from Queen Tatiana. She is all that. And that is all her. No other singer has captivated me so much since Stevie Nicks stole my 15 year old heart in 1977. No other band has won me over so completely except Rush. I saw them 36 times. I'm working on it with Jinjer! Just got tickets for my 4th show!

Jinjer is the perfect band to break you out of your comfort zone. Well, tbh you might soon develop a whole new comfort zone, like I did after hearing Jinjer. Soon it was Arch Enemy and Spiritbox. Then Ankor and Future Palace. Then IKINÄ, The Warning, Hanabie, Monochromatic Black, Gore., the floodgates opened up. I discovered a love of female extreme vocals. I'm starting to like it more when guys do it, but mostly it's the girls that float my boat. I mean I liked Disturbed and Pantera, but I was not into harsh vocals much at all when I first heard Jinjer. I hope you listen to more Jinjer. They're a special band. They have so much variety, a surprise around every corner. Perfect for reactions, and the Jinjer Army is here for it all. You never know--you might find a new favorite genre!

Another great reaction. I would highly recommend Arch Enemy ‘Handshake with Hell’ official video (not the 2023 recap) from growls to beautiful clean vocals… screaming guitar solos to harmonizing riffs. This band has it all! And the lead singer Alissa is absolutely beautiful 💙💙💙

🔥Welcome to Jinjer, Lanae! I just found your channel, saw your Jinjer reaction and subbed, great reaction - Jinjer is completely my comfort music, but that severely understates them! Thank you for bringing the fantastic genre twisting music of Jinjer to more people! I love their energy, how tight they are, how down to earth they are, the heaviness mixed with complexity and groove, beautiful singing and growling and especially Tatiana's lyrics! The first time I heard Pisces in 2019, I hadn't liked any metal with growling and it took me a few listens to start liking it, but now Tatiana is my favorite vocalist and Jinjer my favorite band (Pisces has been my wake up alarm for a few years and I still love it more every time I hear it, snooze is a thing of the past). TLDR: skip to the last paragraph 😂 Sorry for the long comment, I just love Jinjer too much and love seeing people discover (and usually fall in love with) them and each of their songs! My three favorite comments about Jinjer that I've seen, "terrifying levels of talent", "I hate it when a Jinjer song ends", and a mother quoting her four year old wanting to see the "lion lady" again 🤣 All four current members of Jinjer have essentially no formal musical training except Vlad the drummer who studied classical piano. For most of their songs, the three guys write most of the instrument music, then Tatiana writes most of the lyrics and melodies (she gets tons of well deserved credit for her vocal and stage performance abilities, but maybe not quite enough for her lyrical and musical composition abilities). Roman the guitarist has written a lot of the instrument music in the past, so he's a huge part of the beautiful sound of Jinjer, but Vlad the drummer (who also plays guitar and classical piano, but so far not in most Jinjer songs - I think he played piano in lainnereP) has been writing more of it and wrote nine of the eleven songs for the latest album Wallflowers. Eugene composes some - he wrote the instrument music for one song on Wallflowers and a few songs on other albums, and I know that apart from his amazing work on the bass, he adds riffs and has written lyrics for a few Jinjer songs. Jinjer has been a tour-heavy band, touring almost nonstop from 2013 to 2020 and much of the time since then (with interruptions by covid and the US backed coup/proxy war), hard work that has made them fantastic live performers. The band (all members have been Ukrainian, with Russian their first language) started in eastern Ukraine (Donetsk) in 2008 as a group of three (then five) with none of the current members (they consider the official start of the band when Tatiana replaced the male vocalist and Roman joined as lead guitar 2009/2010), Vlad is the fifth drummer (joined in 2016) and it's been a group of four since 2015 (though they consider their road sound engineer Sasha to be a fifth member). I think they're still friends with all the former members and you can see their former guitarist turned actor, Dmitry Oksen, in older videos on guitar and a more recent video (Disclosure) playing an interrogator. One of the things I love most about Jinjer is the messages in Tatiana's lyrics and the way she combines growling and beautiful singing with Jinjer's fantastic instrumentals to be so powerful for expressing the anger and pain in those messages: the anti-war message in Home Back, the anti-greed in On The Top, Mediator and No Hoard Of Value (also the horror of the coal mining industry in their home Ukraine), the protest song Who Is Gonna Be The One, the anti-fascism of Sit Stay Roll Over, the anger at people being narrow minded in Teacher Teacher and Judgment & Punishment, the struggles with mental health in Pit Of Consciousness, Vortex, Wallflower and Perennial, the giving voice to mother nature angry at humanity for letting capitalism destroy her in a bunch of songs like Ape, The Prophecy, Cloud Factory, Noah, Outlander and Bad Water. Other favorites are I Speak Astronomy, Retrospection, Words of Wisdom, Just Another, Captain Clock, Scissors, Exposed As A Liar, I Want It I'll Get It, A Plus Or A Minus, Dip A Sail, When Two Empires Collide, lainnereP, Prologue and Beggar's Dance (those last two are short album bookends that could do well together in one reaction if you're so inclined). I haven't found a Jinjer song I don't love, so I think you can't go wrong if you choose any of them, but a few good choices might be Perennial (official and/or live at Wacken 2019, both are must-see), Teacher Teacher (official is the studio audio with some great footage from several shows), Judgement & Punishment (official and/or Tatiana's one take performance, again both must-see), Pit of Consciousness (official and/or live in Kiev/Kyiv, a third where both are absolutely must-see) or the heartwrenching plea against war in Home Back (official video). Thank you, Lanae! I hope you'll keep trying out more Jinjer songs and enjoy! ❤🖤🤘

I'll add Jinjer, " Judgment and Punishment" One Take Vocal, to the watch next list. You'll appreciate the special guest appearance at the beginning of the video. Just a quick background on the video, it was shot during COVID Lockdown in '20. Jinjer are one of my favorite bands. They are a Ukrainian group formed in 2010. Their instrumental foundation is a simple power-trio format (drums, bass, guitar), but they bring a rare level of musicianship, something akin to mid-1970’s King Crimson. They play a dense mix of bass and guitar leads over jazz-infused drumming. Their blend of rock, jazz, metal and classical elements defies any concept of genre. Their core group (vocals, guitar, bass) have been stable since shortly after they formed (there was a male vocalist for a short time before Tatiana). They have had four drummers, and the scary thing is that all of them have been adept at playing music of extreme complexity and unpredictability. The current drummer, Vlad, is in the conversation as best rock drummer working today. Floating above it all is one of my favorite vocalists of this or any time: the beautiful, incomparable Queen of Metal. Personnel: Tatiana Shmailyuk (Vocals) Roman Ibramkhalilov (Guitar) Eugene Abdukhanov (Bass) Vladislav Ulasevich (Drums) “Pisces” (studio live one-take) This is the youtube video that broke them to the world outside Ukraine, and also a good introduction to the group because the mix lets you hear each member of the band clearly. Tati wrote this song about her own battles with depression and inner conflict. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYKxpXqlgph5jLc Teacher, Teacher (official video, with footage of live shows) This is a protest song, in several movements. It features the band playing with multiple time signatures and Tati transitioning fluidly among three different styles of vocals. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYPOg6qCZdudhck “Judgement and Punishment” (studio one-take) Do reggae and metal go together? Of course. Here Tati dons the Jamaican colors to honor the home of reggae. As one person said, "This song makes me want to break into someone's house and water their flowers". kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2bVmJJsaLibp8k “Vortex” Here is one of their more recent videos, released just before the Russian invasion. It’s a bit eerie how prescient it feels now: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5rEgIZ9j7mqqrs
