@@VocalCitizenthat "don't step aside" section is insane. Do not fkn get in Tatiana's fkn way! How many fkn times can I put fkn in a fkn sentence! It's like body blow after body blow. Just when you think she's done ripping your head off, Eugene lays rest to that thought with his throat cutting gesture, and she goes to the depths of hell to start tearing at your guts. Then shoots up to the sky for that banshee shriek. Only to return down below for the coup de grace. Oh and BTW here's a frilly, jazzy, funky reggae section as a parting gift, a palate cleanser after being eviscerated.

@@VocalCitizenok so maybe my front rail recommendation wasn't spot on. However, you might be able to wangle a way to get close to them while they're performing. There may be wheelchair accommodations at the venue. I had a friend in a wheelchair who attended many shows with me, and often they'd put him right up in front--and me along with him! Recently, in Tempe I think, a guy in a wheelchair crowd surfed--yes, in his chair!--up to the front at a Jinjer show! How fkn awesome is that!

Those low growls at the end. This was the song that solidified me as a Jinjer fan. Then the first time I saw them I was standing by a stack of speakers when they played this song and I could feel those low growls in every cell of my body. I could hear her words in my bones. Unforgettable.

Still killin' it m'lady. You will come to learn, Jinjer just doesn't have a bad song in their library. Though they have had quite a few lineups, they just don't miss. This lineup with Vlad on drums is at 8 years, so it's safe to say this is them. Vlad can play the drums, guitar or a piano, his musical IQ fits into what the instrumentalists produce perfectly. Stay awesome 🤘

I'm sure somebody has already pointed out that Tatiana writes the songs lyrics, and most (if not all) are personal. Pisces, The duality of her personality Perennial, struggling with seasonal depression Vortex, the magnetism of her performance /extroverted side. Up next: Wallflower, her struggles as an introvert aind pressure from the band members for her to write more lyrics. Home back, Ukraine / Russia enough said

You're so right about Tatiana being her own gravity well. So well put! She fkn bends the fabric of spacetime around her, sister. I've seen Jinjer three times live now, inn not quite two years since I discovered them (yeah, I'm pissed too that it took me so long to find my favorite band--I'm making up for lost time). Anyway, I'm a professional bassist, and every time I get right in the front, and I stand on Eugene's side, and I tell myself sternly: self, you are going to watch Eugene and marvel at the outlandish things that he perpetrates upon the bass guitar! Nah. I get sucked into Tatiana's vortex every time. She fkn warps reality. I cannot take my eyes from her. She is the single most magnetic performer I've ever seen. Before I know it I'm sucked into the event horizon and into the fkn singularity, just as so brilliantly visualized in the Vortex OMV. Sorry Eugene. I love ya like my luggage bro, and you put a ton of energy and passion into your killer performances. You're my favorite bassist in the world right now. If it was anybody else... But Tatiana. She's a freak of nature. She's a goddess. The passion and expression that she exudes live is impossible to resist. Futile. I think she is Borg, just be warned before you see them live. Okay, she's Seven of Nine maybe. One of One, more like! She's the Borg Queen. You fkn WILL be assimilated! Your distinctiveness will be added to her own. Last time I saw them, I was standing five feet from her, and I think I pretty much died and went to heaven when she turned and did the "slapping, slapping" thing from Teacher, Teacher mere molecules of space from me. Someone threw a balloon on the stage, and during Vortex she picked it up during the "how heavy is the ball" part, and drop kicked it right at me. It's like seeing Elvis, man. I wanted the sweaty handkerchief. When she makes eye contact with you, you feel it like a sledgehammer. You really must grab yourself a ticket to one of their upcoming US shows. Put on your fkn metal panties (I say what I fkn want too!) and go to a general admission venue, get there early and wait in line to get up to the front rail. Not right in the middle; rather just to one side or the other. As a bassist I suggest Eugene, but it won't matter lol. Cling to that rail and strap in sister! You won't be the same after. In a good way.

Yep, that's Vlad on the drums. This is a performance of a re-arrangement of the track for one guitar, and it outshines the studio recording in *every possible way,* right down to the feedback. This song is from their 2014 Cloud Factory album, which is more of a straight-up metalcore album than their later work (a *great* album nevertheless). The reggae outro, which is a hat-tip to Bob Marley, is a hint of more progressive tendencies trying to break out.

I read your comment to Honda and - after a long barking diatribe - here is the translation: (I edited for time here, as Honda tends to ramble) "My human mom talks to her computer too much. It takes away from belly scratches and cuddles. Send help! She seems happy when she's doing it, but she gets frustrated when her human words come out wrong on the intros and she has to start over. What are you other humans doing to make this happen?! Concentrate on other things, so mom can get back to just doting on me. Love, Honda Blue".🤷🏼‍♀️ Stay tuned for Earthborn Evolution.

Anyway, I'm a professional bassist, and everything time I get right in the front, and I stand on Eugene's side, and I tell myself sternly: self, you are going to watch Eugene and marvel at the outlandish things that he perpetrates upon the bass guitar! I love like my luggage bro, and you put a ton of energy and passion into your killer performances.
