I watched Judas Priest and what an amazing voice and live show, he came on stage riding a Harley-Davidson. Rob Halford is flawless live and still rockin it in 2024 at the age of 73, a true Legend.

There are two main eras of Judas Priest. The first was more akin to Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. Definitely metal, but more rock and blues oriented. Their Sad Wings of Destiny album (namely their song "Victim of Changes") and their British Steel album (with their songs "Breaking the Law" and "Living After Midnight") are great examples. They did this sort of music from the 70s-90s Then they reinvented themselves with this more diving, double kick drum style of heavy metal, starting with this album, also called Painkiller. The newer, faster style of theirs is awesome, but their very first album, in their older, more deliverate style, is still my favorite.

It's quite interesting that where most people who get a first listen to Judas Priest will have something to say about Rob's vocals, but you didn't seem to mention the vocals at all. I still hope to see you react to the rap/metal song I'm the man from Anthrax, but I keep checking in on your videos anyway. Absolutely enjoy what you're doing

Screaming for Vengeance is Priest at the height of their powers and by far the best line up.

This British band has a musical rap sheet about as old as you and I are! Let’s start in the 70’s with VICTIM OF CHANGES from their Sad Wings of Destiny album if you would like an audio playlist. My suggestion anyway. It gives you a nice sense of Rob Halford’s vocal range and the band’s versatility.

Nice and very original reaction. Unique Shirt Rip-Off! I hope, you will find and enjoy more Metal Music. There is so much stuff out there. I am married to a Jehovah's Witness for 23 years now, and I can really imagine your difficulties with this kind of music over the years (So, my wife had to live with Metal and Hard Rock. Whether she likes it or not). Maybe you should check out the band Grand Magus from Sweden. Nice Doom-Metal style. All the best for you and greetings from Germany.

Judas Priest is an amazing band, you should definitely check out victim of changes, beyond the realms of death, electric eye, diamonds and rust (live), dreamer deciever, and many more, the mainstream stuff like breaking the law and another thing coming are good but most of Priest's best songs are less well known because they never really got the radio play, but all are very good songs and if you didn't know any better you would think that they were from a different band. Rob Halford's vocals are amazing on almost any song, and always some awesome guitar work as well

another great song from this album is "Hell Patrol", and "One shot at glory" !! Listen to them aswell please hehe, but what will happen to your clothes when you listen to "Orbit Culture - Flight of the Fireflies" official music video ? Will you burn them ? =) and omg what will happen if someone suggest "Lorna Shore - Sun//Eater", will you slip out of your skin maybe ? only one way to find out !

One of my all time favourite bands...did my name give that away? hahaha! Rob is one of the best (if not THE best metal vocalist ever...it's a close race with Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickinson). I've already seen a few suggestions for other songs, but you may also want to check out The Sentinel or Freewheel Burning. Cheers!

I didn’t say I never heard of them, I’v never heard the music. We weren’t allowed to listen to hard rock or “worldly” music growing up in my religious family, so I never got into bands such as this. Or this type of music. I’m exploring it now. Believe whatever you want!
