OMG, Post Modern Jukebox and with Morgan James, I hit like before I even watched the video. I sure hope you guys do more PMJ and even some of Morgan James own stuff. Maps is one you should do and I like the older stuff like Jealous. The PMJ treatment has made many a song much better no matter who is singing, but my favorite is Morgan, what a voice and so skilled, Juilliard trained and she puts some fabulous spins on many songs, another one would be Alive. Now something different I really love is No Place I Would Rather Be. It's Morgan, an acoustic guitar and 3 back-up singers, that one always makes me smile.

When this song first came out in 1973, I was 15 years old. At the time it was just another song to rock to, with little attention paid to the lyrics. Well, that and the almost career defining scream by Steven Tyler. But now at 64, listening to this performance by Morgan James giving it an emotional emphasis that was missed by me at an earlier age, coupled with her startling voice, it reaches down into my soul. The message of the song is clearer now. And having known too many people who were here today and taken away tomorrow, I would repeat the admonition to "sing for today".

Awesome reaction to an Awesome song, Actually the pianist Scott Bradlee who is the founder of PMJ does all the arrangements for the songs they do with the different singers. You should really check em out, they take cover songs and transport them to other decades, etc mostly swing, jazz, etc. and each song is they make is amazing. And to second another comment you really should do PMJ with H. Reinhard sing Creep its an out-of-body experience.

FYI: ... Miss Morgan went to the Julliard School for music ... was trained in opera ... spent some time singing in NYC clubs ... then on to Broadway ... so yes ... she has just a "wee bit" of talent. She, along w/ her husband, Doug have been covering here on U-Tube all sorts of songs ... and they're are all GREAT !!!

She is definitely the talent behind the mic, but PMJ has been selecting various artists, (the ones they feel will pair well with the song they've arranged), to sing various popular songs in the style of the 20's, 30's and 40's. And it's AMAZING! You should check out more of them, for sure! They are amazing! First discovered this at my brother-in-law's wedding reception. It played low in the background of the meal, ya know before the DJ started. And it gave it a nice atmosphere; like an upscale cocktail party. Anyways, half through 'All About That Bass, I realized I recognized the lyrics! I was freaking out. This was the very next song after we figured out what they were doing, and badgered the poor DJ until he found the playlist, which was ALL PMJ, so my hubby & I now listen to them all the time.

This is the brain child of Scott Bradlee, at the piano. Scott does almost all of the arrangements, I have only come across one cover, 'Despacito' not arranged by him. You have to listen to Morgan James doing, Take Me to Church and then take a trip with Haley Reinhart singing, Creep, Black Hole Sun and Seven Nation Army, she will blow your mind. also try out Haley Reinhart with Morgan James and Ariana Savalas doing All About That Bass. Postmodern Jukebox has some really talented singers in their wheelhouse! Like the comments below, definitely check out 'Creep' by Haley Reinhart. Casey Abrams is really good too - 'What Is Love' and 'Umbrella' are standouts for him. Hannnah Gill does an AMAZING PMJ cover of 'The Ballad of Mona Lisa' and Robyn Adele is another of their greats - her rendition of 'Careless Whisper' is almost better than the original. Also, LaVance Colley does a beautiful cover of 'Halo.' So much great music!

Im here to tell you, Morgan James is the strongest female voice you have never heard of. I been listen to Morgan for more years than I can count. This is actually not even her best performance in my humble opinion. Should check out Morgan and Marc Broussard singing Arethas "Do right woman, do right man". Oh and Marc Broussard is going to be one of the most soulful/blues/power voices you never heard of! Really, check them out.
