Nice effort Marty. I am an awful angler, and the fish know it! Since i started my camping channel over s year ago i have been trying to get better at fishing, but it takes practice. The worst part for me is the two biggest fish i caught last year i wasn't recording on the camera! Thanks for the video.

Haha it’s hard to catch them on video indeed!!!

Loved this video! I like the hammock set up as well. The best piece of advice I ever got regarding fishing was "Just keep trying. Don't get frustrated, ask others, fish with others to learn and most of all remember that a bad day fishing is better than a great day anywhere else!" Bro, I could be out on a 4 day fishing trip and not catch anything and it will still be one of the greatest times I've had. Oh and btw .. everybody catches at least one tree a year lol

Haha I have 3 treees this year so far… only one on cam haha

Beau spot sur le bord de l'eau 👌 Le bruit de fond que nous entendons, ce sont des rainettes faux-grillon je crois. Ça lui ressemble beaucoup

My grandfather took my uncle fishing to those 3 lakes. My uncle then took me. Can't believe I'm seeing this on video lol

Looks like a fun trip! At least you can say you’re persistent🎣😂 the spinner you had at first was pretty good but I would try for one that’s a bit smaller and lose the treble hook. Fishing near flowing water will help you this time of year, also targeting specific species makes it difficult you’ll have to learn their patterns. I’m curious what the weight of your hammock is, we gotta get a third underquilt! Still hoping we’ll get out one of these days🙌

Hi Marty, Watched the video. Definitely wrong tackle for small lake Brookies. Better off with small mepps aglias, silver and gold spoons like Cleo's or live bait....but not the way you rigged those worms....way too busy and LARGE! Best with a very small, very sharp hook, couple of small split shots for weight....and a worm if you're doing live bait. You likely would have had better luck with simple spinners. Just a bit of advice from a life long brook trout fisherman.

How do you "find" the trout in a new lake, early in the year, before the flies come out? And when do you give up and say "there's no fish here"?
@martymorissette Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the input my friend!!! Yeah the tackle seemed off to me! I will try small spinners next!

Always nice to look at your videos. Got one question. @ 14:48 you use some kind of aluminum base for your fire. Were did you got it ? Thanks !

Thank you :) That hole setup comes from wolf and grizzly!

I shouldn't laugh because I'm not doing any better! I'm 0 for 2 little lakes this year, I even cleared the road into one of them and I think it had no fish! But I feel the same as you it's so frustrating when there are so many reasons not to catch a fish, and you never know why until you catch them, but how do you catch them if you don't know what you're doing? I think it's easier once the bugs come out and you can see the fish rising to eat them. I hope so anyway.
