Much respect for starting your motorcycle adventure at the age of 50. You're not alone. I'm a 72 year old gentleman who never rode a motorcycle, never sat on a motorcycle but always had a desire. Anyway I decided at age 70 to learn. I to bought my 1st bike before I knew how to ride. I too had a bad experience at the MSF class so much so I failed. I got home depressed and thought well I guess I have to sell my bike. Next morning I thought hell I've never given up on anything. So I went to my DMV office, took the written exam and got my temp permit. On the 1st Sunday I went to the DMV course, took pictures and took measurements of the motorcycle course. I found an unused paved lot where I duplicated the course. I practiced and practiced and practiced. When I thought I was ready I went to take the DMV ride test. Well I froze up and failed. Again depressed I made another test appointment. This time I passed with flying colors. I'm now on my 3rd bike and loving it. So here's to you're never too old to start a new adventure. 👍

I love that you used the proper scientic name "Moo Cow" 😁 When they're in a group, they're called "Moos". Found your comment on Jess's video (Her Two Wheels) and glad I found another aspiring female moto vlogger. I'm 33. Perhaps once my 6 year old is taking care of herself, I'll get a bike and vlog at 50 too 😜

It’s ALWAYS scientific where cows are concerned. 😆 I grew up in a rural area and had them in the fields that bordered our property. They received names! And take all the time that you need to motovlog or anything else for that matter. I was far too busy being a mom when my son was little to do something like this. And I refuse to believe you can’t try new things at almost any age. Thanks for stopping by and commenting too!

I have no idea how or why this video popped up on my recommended list. Good video! I somewhat did the same thing at the same age, but riding and owning a motorcycle was on my bucket list. I've never been unhappy riding my bike. I have 2 bikes now... one to cruise and the other to ride fast. Congrats on your bike and new adventure. A huge happy belated birthday from Fort Walton Beach, Florida!

My first ride and first motorcycle at 53. 7 years later, it still puts a smile on my face every time I ride. Good luck with your channel!

I'm not quite sure how KZbin decided to show me your channel, but I'm so glad it did! I never even rode on the back of a motorcycle until I was 50 and my husband bought himself a bike as a 50th birthday present (he had ridden a lot when he was younger). I rapidly went from "I'll go with you once in a while" to "you know, if something happened, I should be able to get this home". Two years after that first ride, I took my MSF basic class and I bought my own motorcycle... and I'm so glad to be where I am in this adventure! It's good to see that I'm not the only one who has begun this journey in my 50s...

That's awesome! I love hearing stories from women who started riding at a similar time in their lives. Thanks for sharing!

Great job! For a new rider, you seem to have a great command of the bike. You could have told me that you have been riding for years. Welcome to the club of motorcyclists! Keep the vids coming.

I got my motorcycle licence at 58 and these days ride a Ducati Monster 620ie. Anyone with competent motor skills can do it, that’s what I learnt. The only thing I wish is that I got my licence earlier than I did. So well done on getting your licence and stay upright, enjoy the ride and keep vlogging. Good first one.

I was 46 when I got my motorcycle license. I wish I would have done it sooner. But enjoy riding when ever I can. Enjoy your freedom in the bike.

I do wish I’d started soon too, Robert. Somehow though, I feel as if this just worked out to be the right time. We shall enjoy it as long as we can. 😊

What an excellent first motovlog ginger, looking forward to seeing your ride outs and welcome to the bike world, I’ve just got back from my first ride in probably 5 months with this lockdown and I thoroughly enjoyed the ride, been riding bikes for the past 45 years and I’ll never give it up, take care and ride free. 🏍

Hello Ginger Dash Moto, welcome to the motorcycle riding club, your life has changed for the good. :) - I too just started riding again last year at 50 after being out of it for quite a while. I did growing up, then grew up and life took off and I never got the chance to get my own bike until August 2020, and I am so glad I have gotten back into it. I had horses and motorcycles growing up, but never actually owned one of my own until now. I am loving being back on two wheels. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I look forward to newer ride alongs with you. Stay safe and keep the shiny side up and the Rubber side down!

You are telling my own story, it was really incredible listening to yours! 😄👍 Except that I started with 57, but the rest all the same: a few rides before as a pillion during the last 30 years loving it so much; buying my own motorcycle without any skills when childern grew up and left the house; loving since autumn 2018 my almost daily rides and bigger adventures; and most of all loving my decision to start this adventure that opens for me a completly new life and gives me a new hapiness. Thank you for your vlog which is very well done and which I'll be happy to follow. All the best and always safe rides! 🙋♀️🏍❤

Just found your channel, and I think that its terriffic that you have taken the plunge and joined the world of motorcycles. You realise now that you will be forever cursed and afflicted with the desire to always want that next bike!! Its ok, just let it happen. Brilliant to see more Women riders/ vloggers appearing on the roads of this world. I'm 62, riding for 47 ofv those years, and I will cease my obsession with motorcycles. It's a world unto itself. Best therapy I have ever found and constantly use to keep myself balanced ( well almost) lol. A pleasure to meet you, on the tube, and a big G'day from a fellow rider in Australia. Hope riding bikes becomes your one of your passions, and remember to always keep the rubber side down. Looking forward to your other videos. Great first effort by the way. Cheers.
